Panzone's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Beach Haven

Dear Panzone Family, I wanted to take the time to thank you for the exquisite food and professional service you provided for my daughter’s quinceañera at the Surf City Yatch Club. From the first phone call you were so positive, great to work with, creative, and 100% accommodating. Unfortunately, it was a last minute call because the catering place that we originally had been working with really surprised me with all of the unprofessional and poorly planned catering options. Even though I knew they were not so clear with many things from the beginning, such as: their menu and decor, to the hidden fees I thought, and I was hoping, they were going to get better before the event. They were highly recommended by my venue so without a thought we instantly went with them. I thought perhaps we were planning too early and they were going to speed up their game closer to the date, well I was wrong! The other catering place in Lacey had very little knowledge, which is more of the manager’s and owner’s fault, not making a contract was inept of them. Even though we tried their food a few months in advance, & my family and I ate at the restaurant, they were incapable of doing things right. Even the waitress knew more about my event than the actual manager. So here I am writing about Panzones restaurant & catering business and how they SAVED my daughter’s birthday party one week before the event. We are so happy and 100% satisfied. Not only my family, but my friends, were very pleased by THE FOOD! The professionalism of every single person in that restaurant is impressive! There is not a single thing that they left out, NO hidden fees. We absolutely loved the food. The Panzone’s restaurant helped us clean up after the party, and by the end everything was packed up, and we had leftovers for another week. We are so grateful that they were able to make my daughter‘s quinceañera a success. They have the best chicken fingers & fries, mac and cheese, the delicious chicken franchise, the vodka sauce and pasta, fresh Italian bread, the salads and more. We loved the ferris wheel and the candy, the carnival theme was perfect for August in LBI! All of the workers including the family made this special day even MORE SPECIAL for us! This is not only a catering place or restaurant in LBI , this is more than anything you can expect! We also visited the Beach Haven & Surf City location right away, both are also amazing. We had a nice meal and the staff were all very accommodating and pleasant. The manager got our large party of 13 seated quickly and even took a group photo for us on our way out. Hospitality goes a long way, 5 stars. I did have a couple small issues. Service took quite a while but there were multiple large parities and I assume your kitchen was getting rocked so can’t knock you for that one. Some of the prices are a little steep. Kids meal prices were, pardon my exasperation, insanity. $15 Tyson fingers and steak fries, $18.50 kids burger and $12 for buttered spaghetti? I know it’s priced with the meatball and sauce but the whole “price it with everything and if they order without it too bad for them” is kind of shitty. That tactic is all over the menu, even in the substitutions on your mains. Almost seems like upcharges designed to deter special ordering. My sister in law got penne vodka with chicken but needed it gluten free. She couldn’t eat the chicken because it’s cooked on the same grill as breaded items so your server graciously offered to take it off of the dish. Still $33, plus the gluten free pasta upcharge (fair), plus $9.50 for the side Caesar (wow). She paid like $45 for noodles, sauce, lettuce, and dressing. Again, I get it, but there are ways to price your menu that don’t make people feel gouged when they get their bill. A few of us got sandwiches and the frozen, brown and serve baguette is not a winner for me. Looks nice, works great for the dinner bread, but for a sandwich it’s very dense and heavy making things difficult to eat. I watched my brother struggle as his nicely cooked Mahi squished out of the sandwich as he tried to bite it. The cutlet on my chicken sandwich was very thick. Was expecting something pounded thin. I have to assume the cutlets are not home made. I feel like it was that sous vide in the batter chicken that just needs to be breaded? Maybe I’m wrong but definitely would have preferred a traditional thin cutlet. Overall the food was decent and everyone was very nice but the value to money ratio just didn’t...

We used Panzone’s catering services for our reception and I am so thankful that we did! Before our big day, they were very communicative and attentive to our requests, especially with having certain dietary restrictions for some family members. All of the displays, set ups and decorating was more than what we could have imagined! They had such a calm atmosphere and took care of it all, we never had to worry about a thing!! They kept all of the spaces tidy and communicated with us on when we were ready for dessert to be served and reminded us of things that we totally forgot! They were all so very friendly and checked in on my husband and I to ensure we got a chance to have some food and drinks throughout the night. Todd, Jillian, Christine, Joyce, Mike, and all of the staff, we are so thankful for all of your help making our big day so special! Our families were so happy with the service you provided them and making sure they were taking care of throughout the night!
