We were excited to find a Vietnamese resteraunt in Delaware. We stopped by for dinner. We ordered spring rolls $4.45 eggroll's 3.95 for appetizers. The spring rolls were bland, they are filled with a piece of lettuce, some rice noodles and a few pieces of shrimp. The eggroll's were good. We ordered our main course a beef vermicelli bowl another with lemon grass beef $9.50 a bowl, and a couple bowls of PHO $9.00 still excited as this is a rare cusine in DE. Our food came out and the PHO broth was so bland it tasted like warm water with no seasoning at all. It required soy sauce, and anything else we could put in it to add flavor. The bowls were flavorless and watered down to the point of a half inch of water in the bottom of the bowls. We ordered vietnamese coffee (a strong chickoree coffee) it was served properly and looked outstanding. It is poured over ice and drank cold. The coffee was weak, I thought it was cheap coffee presented to look authentic my wife said it tasted like the served refused coffee grounds. When the food came out we never saw our waitress again to get the bill we had to go to the counter to request it. We will not be returning to this resteraunt again. For good vietnamese food we will drive hours if needed to get our PHO fix. If you are like us go to Maryland or Pennsylvania as there is no good PHO...
Read moreWe should have walked back out when we saw that the place was empty on a Saturday evening. No one at all!! A good pho place is always packed! We decided to give it a chance. We had to ask for water twice and the first time, the server stated, "I know." I bit my tongue not to snap, because we were hungry. The pho was okay. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. We also had the summer rolls and bun bo. Very disappointing!! Kind of stingy on many things from the meat in the Bun bo to the vegetables. Vegetables, really!!?? The meat was cooked in so much cooking oil, which is supposed to be grilled!!! This place is not authentic at all, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. Most places you walk in, you feel welcomed, there's music in the background or friendly smiles. We even had to ask if we can sit down. We were hoping so that this was going to be our new place, because everywhere else is far. So we'll be making all this at home. As I'm writing this review, my stomach is still not settled from the oily meat. Good luck to all that dare to venture or I hope they see this review and...
Read moreTried this place for dinner as an alternative to our local pho spot with my wife and we were pretty disappointed. The server seemed surprised when we walked in and looked like we were bothering her by sitting down to eat. I ordered the beef pho and the soup was too thin and watery and had barely any meat and noodles. I had to ask the server if they gave me the right order and she coldly confirmed that was what I ordered. My wife tried to add a bunch of sauces to get her chicken pho to taste less watery but eventually gave up. We finally asked for the check, paid and left. First and last time. I can live with terrible service if the food is good. But to mess up a pho dish at a pho place and have terrible customer service is beyond comprehension for me. Never again! It's back to our old spot...
