Don's Deli — Restaurant in Beaver

While the service is super slow the food not as advertised, the place is also.not handicapped nor family friendly. There is no public restroom in this RESTAURANT. This is a restaurant facility that will gleefully send an elderly customer with multiple small children across the street to Starbucks where one may indeed use a restroom. Forcing a family to gather belongings and just purchased long long awaited ordered and paid for food to another location WITH food purchased at Dan’s Deli is unkind. This selfish staff sent an elderly disabled woman and littles ones to a busy intersection to wait for a light to cross a street. This unkind action caused the child to suffer an embarrassing accident. The family was forced to, due to a restaurant lacking a restroom, to abandon-with now multiple hungry crying children-planned activities to return to the home procure a change of clothes. All this occurred as staff watched this gathering of.food and the rest of the kids to unhappily tag along. This unfriendly unkind action is completely unacceptable. The unkind thoughtless staff created an environment that is in no way shape or form customer, family, handicapped friendly. There are many options for eating nearby. I DO NOT recommend this place. Add to the aforementioned issues the long wait for said so so food in what is billed as a restaurant. The day in question had with extreme heat only outdoor options as all the indoor tables are were covered with boxes, i do not recommend one...

Update: the owner processed a full refund same day, even though we didn’t request one! Sorry it took me forever to note that here. Definitely not necessary but appreciated. We appreciate the rapid customer service and would give Don’s another try in the future.

Original Review: This place is just okay. I’m a little puzzled by the glowing reviews.

My husband and I got one cold and one hot sandwich to split. We were the only people in the shop when we placed our order. After a 30 minute long wait, we could finally bring our food outside to eat (this place seems to be takeout only). My pastrami Reuben was toasty but completely fridge-cold in the middle and the Swiss wasn’t melted at all. The meats on the Spicy Gabagool were thick cut for some odd reason, so they couldn’t properly layer them in the roll. It was a clumsy mess with the chili mayo— somehow both spicy and bland at the same time.

These sandwiches are definitely stuffed with meat, but the staff seem to give little care in the actual preparation or assembly. It’s a real shame! We paid $30, no chips or drinks. I wouldn’t recommend it. I think you’ll be...

Have to say the sandwich was good but not good enough to return. Customer service was bad. Very short and rude. I had never been here before so I had questions. The person at the counter was pretty rude when I asked what was the Beef and cheese. They answered in a tone like: why wouldn't I know what beef meant? Like I said I have never been here before. Another thing that bothered me. Was 3 people behind the counter, 1 working hard, 1 not doing anything but talking to the only one making a ton of sandwiches and the other was wandering around lost. 15 minutes waiting for a sandwich that honestly if all 3 were working not 1 maybe Customer service would have been better. Hard to get past being talked to like I was bothering her. The Sandwich was good but not to where I will come back.

Update: bread was hard.. I guess when not fresh they should insist on heating it. Tried the soup.. I needed a fork. Pcs of chicken were not bite size for sure and it really lacked flavor. I...
