I live in the neighborhood that is directly behind the Dunkin, so I've been a regular customer at that location for years, and I will often walk there instead of driving, as it is so close.
Unfortunately over the years, my attempts to establish myself as a regular (good) customer there, hasn't been appreciated, or even recognized by the staff. I've always been friendly towards all the staff, and always tipped more than generously. In fact, I've often tipped ridiculous amounts of money, in the hope that they would both remember, and appreciate my face, and name, because of my generosity, and so always treat me with kindness, and respect whenever I visit.
However, the problem with my strategy of generosity has been that the staff is constantly changing - they struggle to keep many of the same faces, and so it is impossible to establish any kind of a familiarity with anyone there. LOL So you can tip as much as you're a fool to do so, as it rarely gets any genuine appreciation, or even simple recognition.
There have been many times at that location where staff members who had previously spoken with me, been respectful, and even enjoyed a joke, have then been on my next visit - ice cold towards me, and barely uttered a word!
Of course the majority of these employees are women, and look to be between the ages of 16 - 25? They constantly chatter amongst themselves, but block everything, and anyone else out. Also I have noticed that there doesn't seem to be any real Manager at this location. There's a girl there who seems to be the acting Supervisor, but she looks no older than in her early 20's, and she herself has been both kind/ friendly to me in the past, as well as ice cold /rude, and dismissive in more recent times.
The limited food menu itself isn't bad, but if you're wanting any kind of a personal friendly service - the type of place where they remember, and appreciate your face, and name - then don't go there, as that's NOT what they are about, and whatever you do - don't tip, as it's NOT genuinely appreciated.
Don't dine inside (at least alone) for those same reasons, as it's a cold, and unfriendly...
Read moreUsed the mobile app to save time on 1/2 dozen donuts and an iced coffee...ended up being a waste of time. When we ordered on the app it said the order would be ready immediately. When I arrive at the window 10 minutes later my order is, in fact, not ready. The iced coffee was made hot (so totally incorrect there) and the drive-thru employee asked me to pull to the 2nd window while they make the correct coffee (why did I use the app, seems like a waste of time). At the 2nd window another employee hands me my iced coffee after neat 5 minutes waiting. Meanwhile, no less than 4 cars behind me get their orders and leave (again, why did I fall victim to thinking the mobile app was a time-saver?). The young lady hands me the iced coffee and says, "Sorry about that, have a good day," I asked her if I could please have my donuts. She looks at me, looks at the receipt then begins making my donut order. So...that Dunkin' app said my order would be ready when I got to the store, not that it would be made when I go to the store. Facts: it wasn't ready and wasn't correct. To add insult to injury one donut I purchased on the app was not available (why didn't this useless app tell me they were out of sour cream donuts? Maybe I answered my own question.) Useless app.
For context, the drive-thru was extremely busy when I arrived, and I know that the employees were jobbing out with all the customers, so I don't entirely blame them. They are young adults trying to do their best and nothing was intentional. Majority of the fault lies with the app promising false information and not listing what donuts are available at what locations. Got it, that is a tall order but if you are going to put it on your app you better be able to back it up or be prepared to lose credibility.
Next time I will not use the app, I'll just go in and hopefully have a better experience. Or...maybe I'll go to Tim Horton's which is 1/2 mile away. Gotta do better than this Dunkin'. Only giving 2 stars because the blame is not solely on this location, but more...
Read moreThis location definitely needs a bigger parking lot and assessability for the amount of clients that go to this Dunkin’ Donuts once Dunkin’ Donuts landed in Beavercreek the hype started and it still has not stopped since construction started at this location. This team is exceptional. They always have a great attitude they seem to really enjoy what they do at this location. Many of them are extremely knowledgeable about the different coffees the different items that they carry, the one thing that sticks out for me the most is they know me the moment I pull my vehicle up to the Monitor to inform them of what I would like to order for the day it gives you that Hometown feeling that they care they recognize who you are and sometimes they even know your order before you even say it, you do not see that often at many places that you go to the only downfall I see at this time is that I haven’t gone there for a couple days due to the coffee I normally get seems to be very different. I reached out to the district manager who is wonderful they were going to look into the calibrations of the water versus the coffee grounds and see if they could figure it out the coffee I get now just seems very watered down and not how it used to be so I hope is that they will figure out the calibrations and get the coffee back to where it once was, there’s not enough wonderful things I can say about this location I think they need to definitely be a flagship for many locations out there within the Dunkin’ Donuts community. Thank you...
