We dined at Potbelly today for the first time. The food was good, but the customer service or lack thereof, was bad. We got in line, which was self explanatory. From there, the employees explained nothing and didn't ask if we had any questions. Even when we were obviously confused, they were rude instead of helpful.
My husband ordered macaroni, which was pretty straight forward. He then ordered a kid's sandwich for a kid's meal. There was no mention as to what came with it. He attempted to tell the employee what went on the sandwich and he was very abruptly and rudely cut off. Next up, it was my turn. I wanted the turkey club with lunch meat turkey, instead of pulled turkey. I was also getting the half sandwich and soup combo. She said that my sandwich would be the "turkey sandwich add bacon" and not the turkey club. I'm not sure how asking for a different type of turkey changed anything. I was also cut off by the employee.
We then moved down to the "sandwich dresser". My child and I both got turkey sandwiches. I was having a difficult time hearing the man, as he was mumbling. It wasn't loud at all. I told him twice what I wanted. I wasn't asked which cheese I wanted or if I wanted my bread toasted. It was chosen for me. He then mumbled something else TWICE and we couldn't hear him. It ended up being about our child's sandwich. It was also toasted, without asking. It was actually very hard. This employee seemed to have an attitude.
Lastly, we paid. We asked what came with our child's meal and the items were tossed on the counter. She got to pick a drink and it came with applesauce along with a mini cookie. I got a fountain drink and the employee didn't give me a cup, so I had to go back up to the counter and wait for her to return. Her response was, "You could have gotten your own cup". Wow, thanks.
Strange things: They don't have sweet tea, only unsweetened and they don't have trays to put your food on. It makes it difficult to carry subs, chips, soups, drinks, etc.
We purchased a sandwich/soup combo ($7.99), a kid's meal ($4.60), a macaroni ($6.10) a chip drink combo ($2.50) and a fountain drink ($2 or less), but our total was over $28. Not including tax, the total was just over $23, so I'm not sure how it...
Read moreI ordered from Uber eats at 1:55 or so and it came 3:00 and the app said still processing. I called in and asked if my sandwich was made Already and explained the situation and he said yes it was unfortunately and has been for a while, it was just waiting to be picked up. I told him I was going to go ahead and pick it up myself since I had been waiting so long to no fault of his obviously and he said he would definitely remake the sandwich, which I thought was exceeding expectations anyway. I got there and he (John maybe? I can’t remember his name) gave me that look like he already had an idea of who I was which was funny, and I asked him if I could just cancel through Uber eats and pay him directly and he said yes just cancel it through the app and let them know that no one came to get your order. That’s what I did and to my surprise he went above and beyond again and told me it was on the house, I insisted to pay because these are hard times and he said he was just upset that I had to come pick it up. I thanked him and he even offered me some chips or cookies on the house. I was just blown away by how nice and compassionate this man was and even though none of it was his fault he fixed their mistake. I hope his customer service never changes because he went way beyond what I expected and it was so nice feel a warm aura from a stranger because in today’s society there’s hardly any genuine caring personalities....
Read moreIf you like sandwiches you'll love this place because they make and sell sandwiches. When I get a sandwich from here I like to sit inside and eat it because the decor reminds me of the old country. I'm not an immigrant so I really don't know what the "old country" looks like but I'm sure if I was an immigrant and came over to the US from some place in England or some other non-American place this is what the old country would look like. So, in closing, I would greatly recommend this place if you like sandwiches. If you prefer burritos then don't come here because they don't serve burritos, only sandwiches, or sammiches, as I like to call them.
While I have you here have you heard about the movement to have Capcom release the long-rumored code to access Champion Edition for Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior for the SNES? If you can please...
