Enjoyed our visit there. Went on a Thursday night . Wasn't too crowded. Sat right away and had water at our tables in minutes. The pizza was delicious. Had a nice flatbread taste to it. We ordered a small tomatoe pie which was a cheese pizza and a large pineapple ham pizza. My husband and 2 teenage boys ate the large and I'd say it was big enough. My 13 year old son and I ate the cheese and if he was a big eater like normal teenage boys or an adult this would not have been a big enough pizza to split. We should have ordered 2 larges but being our first time there we did not know there was that huge of a difference b/w the only 2 size choices. The pizzas were delicious! The sauce was right on and the flavor was perfect. If you are a.East Coast Italian like me you are constantly searching for a good pizza in the Midwest that compares to home. Well this is definitely an Italian restaurant that knows their pizza! They also served Antipasta! This is a large italian meat salad wh you can find nowhere! So aside from needing another large instead of a small everything was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. It had brightly colored rooms and comfortable wooden booths or high top tables and a family crowd. We will definitely go again and order 2 larges! Sorry we did not have any Pints...
Read moreI was really excited when I heard a pies and pints was coming to the Greene. I've been to the Pies and Pints in Columbus and Fayetteville and always had excellent food and great service. I've been to the Greene location twice, and both times the food was good, service was a bit lacking. Hopefully they'll improve with time. The first time we went with a large group, and the order was screwed up a bit. One pizza wasn't cut when it arrived at the table (not a big deal - but when you're waiting for what seems like forever for your pizza arrive - you cry a small tear when it disappears back into the kitchen.) Then, they brought the bill out as a single check. There went another 45 minutes of my life wading through that fiasco. The second time we went there my pizza wasn't right, so I had to wait while it was remade. The food is good when you finally get it.
One suggestion - I tried the gluten free pizza on a lark - wow - they do not tell you that for the same price as a regular pizza, you get a pizza that is gone in about four bites. Of course it's gluten free - it's so small - it's probably calorie free too. If you're gluten intolerant and you want to eat here, get a salad, or ten gluten...
Read moreI've never been here before, but most of my large family has. If my 15 YO niece loves it enough for a pre prom dinner for her friend group, that's the highest praise. The service was great. We were seated promptly, with menus, and lots of advice and suggestions. They have little glasses to taste the many beers on their menu, to try and gain some new favorites. But the pizza! You can't tell from the menu how great it is, but thin crust, many toppings, many combos, many build your own choices still doesn't convey how delicious this pizza is. I always take home left overs for my little grandsons who I have every day. So I chose pepperoni and anchovies( yes they have them!) only on 1/2. It was deliciousness in every bite, and they were generous with the pepperoni and anchovies. I took the other half home, and they gobbled it up. Best pizza ever from 2 little pizza kings. And the pepperoni was delicious, not spicy, so they'll get that next time! The beer was also delicious and goes perfectly with the pizza. Great service, great food and drink, we will be going...
