Romeo's Pizza — Restaurant in Beavercreek

I ordered online for delivery. We got a deep dish pizza and stuffed cheese bread. This is not my first time ordering from Romeo's and every other time it's been perfect. Tonight however was not.

Our food is delivered and upon opening the pizza box I notice it looks like a piece is missing. Count the slices and there's 7 when there's supposed to be 8.

I call the store and whoever I spoke to got extremely rude, I'm assuming it's the manager since they didn't mention their name, said he was just walking in and when the driver got back he'd ask them if something happened like "they dropped a piece while cutting it." The fact that he thought that was a good reason to send out and incomplete pizza is crazy to me. He offered to refund the order and I told him I'd rather just have a new pizza sent out since we didn't know if someone had done something to the one we got. His response to that was "I don't know what you want me to do, I can either refund the order or you can come up to the store and get a new pizza because once my driver gets back they have another delivery" Keep in mind this was a DELIVERY order. The driver had been tipped and I wasn't driving 20 minutes to get a new pizza when it was their mistake.

I finally told him to just refund the order and he said ok and hung up without another word. Completely unacceptable behavior even if he wasn't a manager. I've worked in multiple pizza places when I was younger and I would never think to talk to a customer that way. Probably won't ever order from here again. Already put in a contact to corporate about this incident.

The stuffed cheese bread was good, even though I didn't get the Capone sauce that I asked for.

Update: it's been 3 days and the order has still NOT...

So to start this off I'd like to say I like romeos pizza but I've just had my worst experience with them. So I ordered a large loaded crust pizza and a salad today at 11:30 am and it told me the wait was going to be about 45 min which is weird because I live only about 5 min out but I still waited after 1hr the food got here and the pizza wasn't loaded crust and the salad wasn't here so I called the lady on the phone was nice about it and said she would send another order to my house at this point it's 12:40 and then i wait again after another 1hr and 30 min I call again and my food is still there and she says the dasher was running late and says that if she can't get the food to me she'll give me credit to my account but I don't have a account so then she says she will call here boss and get back to me this was at 2:16 now it's 3:12 and I still do not have my food nor did I get a call back about a refund. So to finish this off if you get romeos never get delivery.

(Update) It is now 4:10 I just called again the food is still there which has now been sitting for 3hr and 30 min and they don't know what's happening with door dash and they still don't know what to do about a refund and are waiting for a manager to come in and the manager was supposed to be there at 4.

It's now 5:16 and i had to call again and this time it was different staff they didn't know what i was was talking about then they found my order asked if I wanted them to remake it again and pick it up myself and after I said no I just want a refund and 7 more min I finally got a refund so in total I spent since 11:30 to 5:16 trying to get a pizza and a salad and only got the wrong pizza no salad and a migraine over all a...

Wanted to try this pizza coming locally to me very soon so I took a drive to another town to give it a shot. Great service, the guy we dealt with I wish I had remembered his name but I think he was a manager was very welcoming, great energy and even gave us a respectable coupon as 1st time customers.

My pizza was half sausage, half meatball, all pepperoni. I would say it was just about average chain pizza. The sauce & crust were the stars as the sauce has a very good sweetness to it if you enjoy that like we do. Crust was solid to above average. The meatballs were pretty solid as well.

I didn't care for the cheese, it just came across as a very cheap pizza cheese used in many chain joints. The sausage quickly turned me off and I removed it from the pizza, just didn't like the taste and the appearance of it was unappealing a very dark sausage, unusual looking for a pizza. The pepperoni was a bit larger circumference wise than usual and was kinda greasy, it was edible if you could get past the greasiness.

Overall I'd give it about a 6.2, edible & even good in some ways but some real turnoffs as well. If they had different cheese & pork sausage I would easily give it a 7.5, an 8 if they had old world pepperoni instead or just more crispy pepperoni.
