My large family (7 adults & 1 infant) came into your restaurant (Beaverton on TV HWY) on 3/10 for a late lunch after taking my mother-in-law to tour an assisted living facility for a late lunch. It was a complex & emotional day and being a Sunday, the place was pretty packed. Your hostess (I didnt get her name) was amazingly gracious and got us seated pretty quickly all things considered. We were set up with a high chair and crayons for the baby (she thought they were tasty), plenty of water, and asked about beverages as we were seated. Of note, they also took into consideration that the elder in our party uses a mobility device when arranging our seating. In short order, our server got our orders, made sure we had plenty of napkins for incidental spills, and brought out the couple of non-coffee/water beverages that were ordered. There was a longer than "usual" wait for our food, but completely understandable with the size of our party and general busy nature of the restaurant. The food was standard diner fare. Tasty, filling, and plentiful. Here is where the experience stood miles apart from the expected. Our server - Ethan(? I think I'm remembering his name correctly). Like I said, the place was packed and it appeared that for most of our visit they were the ONLY server. They truly should have needed roller skates to keep up. In spite of this, we were checked on and our drinks refreshed at regular intervals and requests met promptly. AND. With and honest smile and cheer. They were understanding of the needs of not only and infant, but also an elder at the table and had an almost psychic ability to anticipate our requests. Ethan made what could have been a very trying situation (I mean - a 10 month old AND an 82 year old at the same table in a busy restaurant - it's a recipe for meltdown if not outright disaster) for all a joy. Ethan brought a light to the experience that none of us expected. They truly have and are a gift. I did let the hostess know how wonderful Ethan was and they recommended that I write a review so that Ethan can get the recognition they deserve. I truly hope that this gets back to them so that they know what a difference they made to our day. (And to apologize for all the butter - the baby discovered the delicious joy that butter brings. We tried...
Read moreI have returned several times, service is still bad and attitudes is still bad but now it’s worse cause they have aggressively started demanding tips. Tipping etiquette states tips are to be appreciated not expected and it’s hard to tell someone to their face in front of others, that their bad attitude and poor service doesn’t deserve a tip, but giving away 20$ of your hard earned money is also bull dooky! Last time I wasn’t going to tip at all then the guy at the register stuck his hand out again after I gave him cash and said “ oh and the tip” my bill was 67$ . I gave him a 5$ bill and he said “ this is the tip” I said “ why yes it is , you may keep all of it I don’t need any change back” your job is not worth 50$ an hr stop harassing people for tips and more tip when u don’t like what they leave you. I’m not returning to this awful place! The food is not even good and it makes me miss Cracker Barrel even more !!
This place has the worst customer service. Everyone who I have encountered here as a customer acts like they don’t want to be here and don’t want to wait on you. They just refused to serve me a piece a cake from the glass Togo even though the dining are is still full of customers who have not paid yet. I know register is still open and the waitress just walks off and ignores me when I asked if they could just sell me a piece of cake. Also they are advertised to close at 8 and turning away people at 7. Don’t know if this was actually the case or just another case of lazy entitled employees that want to go home and don’t care about there job or customers wanting to return. This is not first time I’ve experienced this at this restaurant. We are headed to sharis . There is no reason why I couldn’t purchase a piece of cake from the restaurant to go or why the waitress refused to wait on me and just yelled “ we closed” and walked off. I told her I just wanted to get a cake to go and they didn’t close for another hr and the dining room is full and she just walked off as not even caring to try to help me. I promise you this wait staff will never get one penny of a tip from me if I ever do eat here again . Sick of there bull shit and attitude from...
Read moreAmong family restaurants, this one stands out in terms of price, taste, quantity, and atmosphere. And they offer special menus during the season so that regular customers do not get bored. Right now, they are offering CFS (Chicken Fried Steak). They are only available for a limited time and are always delicious, so they are our first choice for ordering. This time we chose their CFS Spicy Crispy Sandwich. I also got the always delicious Bacon Cheeseburger Salad and Fesh Squeezed Orange Juice, which is also always delicious. I eat their dinner salads whenever I feel like I've had a little too much food recently, because I can eat a full meal without feeling guilty about the calories. There are four different types of dinner salads and they are all great😊👍. 05/21/2024 I think the food here is a cut above the rest. We had the Turkey Club Sandwich ($13.79) and Taco Salad ($14.49). Both were very reasonably priced for the generous portions. Recently, I've been hooked on their Taco Salad.🥰 Coffee ($3.69) 05/27/ 2024 California Omelette ($14.99), Taco Salad ($14.49), Coffee $3.69) 09/28/2024 We absolutely love this place and come here 2-3 times a month.
