Mexicali Express — Restaurant in Beaverton

I honestly don't know how this place is in business for so long. I tried the food here when I first moved here 4 years ago and I was disappointed then. I thought enough time had passed, maybe I should try it again. I got a sausage breakfast burrito and a beef taco. The burrito was mediocre at best. Atleast they use real eggs. My biggest complaint is how small the burrito is. They use such a small tortilla that the top of the burrito is left unwrapped and food exposed. Why not just use larger tortillas? Its like the type of burrito you'd make at home, not at a Mexican restaurant/fast food. I have tiny hands and it was barely bigger than my hand. Have loved Mexicali Express for 40+ years now. They have all the other restaurants & taco carts beat by a long shot. The staff always says hello upon entering. Their food is hands down the freshest, tastiest around. I've been hooked on their taco salads for many years. Their chicken & steak quesadillas are awesome & just recently discovered that they're serving breakfast now as well. They've got the best Country Potatoes of any place I've been around the whole Washington County area. Their bacon is super good too. I've noticed the people that work there, for the most part, all seem to of been there for quite a while. This place is great for quick food that's pretty decent, but their attitude is not the very best which kind of sucks because who wants to deal with people who aren't very friendly. They served me bad salsa and when I called to let them know so they wouldn't serve it to other people they didn't even say sorry until I repeated myself that they served me bad salsa, which is a really weird thing to have to tell a company If you serve me bad food you should be extremely sorry. I'm glad I didn't put it on my burrito before I realized it was bad. It was bulging and it smells like vinegar. Of course it made a mess in my car too from the pressure.
