The Human Bean — Restaurant in Beaverton

I started getting a morning coffee at the Beaverton Hillsdale Highway location a few months back because it was along my morning walk route. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, service, and price of their espresso drinks. I made it part of my morning routine. I don't know what happened but after a few weeks the quality started to drop off noticeably. In particular the milk was hot but not really steamed. It was basically hot milk (no foamy smoothness). I thought that everyone has a bad day and maybe the baristas were just off their game a couple times. Unfortunately it became the norm. I started to doubt going there any more but hoped the situation would just sort itself out. The last time I went there (and I do mean last) the milk wasn't even hot. It was just luke warm - barely above body temperature. I noticed when the barista handed me the drink she had a really disconcerted look about her while giving the beverage. After I drove away and took a sip I understood why. They drink was not suitable for sale but it was handed to me anyway. I guess it was just rushed. I won't be back. That said the baristas were friendly enough and pleasant to speak to. I like that they would come out and take your order while you were waiting to pull up to the window thereby speeding up service. I don't know why I even bother coming here but it is my son's favorite place until now when they put whip cream of his drink after I asked then not to because he won't drink it if their is any on it, when I told them they took the whip cream off and he still wouldn't drink it because their was still some left and his cup wasn't full so I asked for a different one that he would drink and was charged for another one

I also ordered a java chip blended drink with coffee (can't remember the exact name) without whip cream and it was DISGUSTING it had zero flavor, no chocolate sauce like their was in the picture and tasted like chocolate water, I could've made a better one at one or paid more for one with flavor at Starbucks that is just as nasty but at least their drinks have flavor. This was my first time here. I am a daily coffee drinker and was quite desperate for my daily fix when I got there. I ordered a medium Americano with cream and a kids cocoa. First off, it was more expensive than other options around, including Starbucks. That surprised me. The kids drink was only half full and not warm at all, even my daughter who calls everything hot even if it's barely warm, complained. I drove away without checking my coffee but when I did it was barely warm, more cool, and there was so much cream the coffee was nearly white.
