We love Chuck E Cheese, however...
Donāt book Birthday parties for the Beaverton, OR. location. Worst experience ever! Booked online and payed the deposit no problem. Got to the site and unfortunately had 2 no-shows. Completely fine, it matches their policy written online. Unfortunately, the staff on site said we could no longer have our party because 2 people didnāt show up. Of course I mention the 2 no-show policy to which they responded, āIāll have to talk to my managerā. The shift manager insisted that there was no way to enter our party into the system with the 2 no-shows. Which lead to my rebuttal of the policy before mentioned. I also told the manager that we had already payed our deposit, of which covered 90% of the party bill, and that we are fine paying the remaining balance due, regardless of the 2 missing persons (ie. no refund for no-shows). We then wanted to order an additional large pizza after hashing our the prior booking/no-show issue. One of the staff said that would be covered under what you already payed. We expected an additional charge, but thought, great... maybe they are being nice to offset the initial hassle. NO!!... after the pizza was presented and eaten we were charged the price of the pizza they said would be covered under our reservation. Finally after wasting 2hours of my childās party arguing with the shift manager at the start, and the GM on the phone, whom was apparently on vacation, we convinced the GM to honor what the employee stated about the pizza. The GM unfortunately argued with us for about 30mins over the pizza the employee said would be covered, before realizing we had a valid point for our overall experience and our party guests experience.
We were not looking for handouts or to cheat the system... we just wanted what was told to us and the fair accommodations that we payed for
We love Chuck E Cheese, but will not return to that location and wish you a better experience elsewhere. It was definitely not our first time there, but it will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a scheduled birthday for my son's 6th birthday. So many issues.
We had my 7yr olds party as a walk in Feb 2015 and that was awesome. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our walk in party. Sadly not this time.
I had scheduled his party a month in advance. I made the deposit online and had no reason to doubt that it had gone thru, considering I even got a confrontation email. However at the end of the party the manager told me that this location doesn't take online deposits and it was $30 more dollars than anticipated.
I do have to say that while the managers hands seem tied he did what he could to make all the other issues with our party right. First off I would of thought being the ONLY Scheduled Birthday that night we would of been a priority, but no.
Our "host" had to be hunted down whenever we needed something. They placed our cake in the freezer instead of a fridge so it was frozen in the middle. The pizza didn't come out till an hour after we had been there which made my son cry when our adult guest pizza came first.
They didn't tell me that cake was a part of the end of the "birthday show" so most of the kids hadn't even finished eating yet.
Then the host cut 2.5inch square cake Peices for the children and when told those were too large for the kids then started serving the adults 1inch square Peices.
The ice cream was rock solid and the "scoop" they brought us was a salad dressing ladle that busted. The second scoop they brought was all though more effective an Ice scoop. You would think a place like this would invest in a decent ice cream scoop.
Very disappointed with this location. This was supposed to make my kids birthday easy for me and instead made me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just wanted to say that this location is really clean. Yes it can be hectic to have so many kids running around, but it seems like the people working here deal with it on a daily basis and really understand how to deal with children. My daughter dropped one of the pizzas and she felt really really bad. She was crying and the manager walked over And told her it was OK. That no oneās allowed to cry at Chuck E. Cheese.š and that he would bring a pizza back and there was no problem and he did just that honestly created a great memory from my family turned a bad situation into a good one and honestly, I love that manager. I recently lost my job and had to move more than 20 miles away from the location. I wasnāt able to go to Chuck E. Cheese with my kids in over three months. I was still being charged for my gold membership I got a hold of the membership and said hey is there any way that I could cancel my membership? I know I signed up for a year membership, but I canāt currently use it. They asked me a few questions and in Chuck E. Cheese fashion they worked out an amazing situation with me where I could get my money back and Iām definitely coming back if I move closer and get my life on track if thereās one thing I can say about Chuck E. Cheese is there driven to create an amazing customer experience the atmosphere inside the store is that of happiness is key and they are absolutely on par with every bit of expectation I had for this location. I love Chuck E. Cheeseās and I am frustrated that I canāt keep going and be close because my kids loved it too. Also, the...
