Elmer's Kitchen never fails to impress. We had another fantastic meal there today, just like we have been experiencing for years. We used to frequent Elmer’s when our kids were young, from 2002 to 2006, nearly every weekend. Returning now feels like a wonderful trip down memory lane, and the quality of food and service remains consistently high.
One of the standout dishes at Elmer’s is their German pancake meal. It’s genuinely world-changing. The pancakes are fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out on a truly exceptional breakfast experience. Their Eggs Benedict also deserves special mention. As someone who uses Eggs Benedict as a litmus test for breakfast spots, I can confidently say Elmer’s serves one of the best versions I’ve had. The hollandaise sauce is rich and creamy, and the eggs are always poached to perfection.
The staff at Elmer’s Kitchen are fantastic. They are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. Their excellent service adds to the overall dining experience, ensuring that every visit is pleasant and enjoyable. It's clear that the team takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about their customers.
While the food and service are top-notch, the interior could use a little attention. A fresh coat of paint and some minor updates would do wonders for the ambiance. However, the classic charm of the place remains intact, and it’s part of what makes Elmer’s Kitchen a beloved spot for many. The cozy, nostalgic atmosphere adds to the overall experience, making it a place where you always feel welcome.
Despite the need for a bit of TLC in the decor department, Elmer’s Kitchen never disappoints. The consistent quality of their food, coupled with the outstanding service, makes it a reliable choice for breakfast or brunch. It’s a classic spot that has stood the test of time and continues to deliver great meals and memorable experiences.

Read moreDidn't have too many meal options during our stay in beaverton due to the fact that we had dropped off our car for repairs and were staying at a hotel for 3 days, but we had Elmer's...... not fancy, but the wife and I love homestyle places like this. Firstly, the service was five stars, if not six! Super friendly, super courteous and pretty darn fast and attentive to your needs. Prices aren't bad considering the area and the ritzy hotels nearby,so... tolerable. Secondly,..The 2 stars is for the "lunch" menu. Ordered the fish and chips...(not impressed) severe shortage of fries...like, if there were 2oz of fries in my basket, then imajewish space laser named Hugo! Fish,..obviously frozen and deep fried. Mostly breading. Reubens, (avoid...) very small, mostly bread, "tiny " amount of meat, (not the best corned beef either) maybe a teaspoon of sauerkraut ..and "maybe ",...literally 10 French fries on the entire plate!...... potato shortage??, or owner/operator skimping the customers??? To save money??? Don't know. Sad though. Lastly, if you want a really nice breakfast, with great coffee, nice service and probably the best sausage gravy I've had in a restaurant in 25yrs,..."go to Elmer's !" Honestly though,..you're better off skipping lunch! The convenience store/gas station next door has better lunch items..lol. no,...I'm not kidding! Again, to the server's at Elmer's,....6 stars 🌟 ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ tip these people well!!!! They earn it! Take it from ...

There’s something about walking into a welcoming spot where you know exactly what you’re going to order and that it will always hit the spot.
