I was really excited to see and eat at this place because a colleague recommended it. However, my personal experience was very disappointing. Franks Noodle House is known for making their noodles onsite, which they have a huge window you can look into and see the chef doing so. The business was clean walking in and smelled really good-I was hopeful. Service was extremely quick, but there were seven of us and our food didn’t all come out at the same time. I ordered the chicken noodles and ordered it to be a level 3 spice out of 4. However I only got four pieces of shredded bland chicken (the menu states the chicken is marinated) and no flavor or spice at all in my dish with non existent veggies. I ended up only taking four bites and was so disappointed. The server never came to check in on us to ask how everything was-if she had I would’ve kindly let her know what was wrong. Instead when she noticed I stopped eating she brought a box and the check. I did not box up my meal, and I noticed a gratuity was already charged, no where was this on the menu or posted. I understand over a certain number of members in a party some business enforce this but it was not posted anywhere, that I could see. Nonetheless, I will not be returning. Not worth the 20 dollars for a single meal.
Hope those reading this have a better...
Read moreNever ate at this place before... Had always drove past it while going to Popeyes with a friend. So finally decided to go in. The place was wonderful. The smells from all the wonderful food that was cooking was just incredible. We were seated next to the window. Unfortunately this place has no booth seating (which I prefer) but anyways we looked the menu up and down I finally decided on Kung Pao Chicken (I ask for extra peanuts Everytime I order that dish) and then you have a choice of a side of noodles or rice which costs extra. So I got the steamed white rice. Which I think costs an extra 2 dollars. And I ordered some Spring Rolls for the appetizer. They serve a nice bottle of water at the table along with the cups for you to have. The bottle of water was about the size of a wine bottle but I'm pretty sure you could get refills if you needed more. But we had plans to get coffee afterwards so we decided to just drink the water. And so the food came very fast and it was so fresh and amazing. The fried spring rolls were so fresh and crisp and it comes with the sweet sauce. And let me tell you the portions of the meals were so big we both could only eat half the plate and had to have it put in a box to take home. And we also asked for a bag for our food. I definitely 10 outta 10 would...
Read moreUPDATE: I had asked if the general TSOs contained dairy and the front end woman quickly said no. I asked again because I have a very bad dairy allergy that will knock me out for at least a day and once again she said no. I made the mistake of listening though in retrospect she didn't actually bother to ask anyone she just said it didn't. Unfortunately for me I won't be going to work today because of eating here and a staff member who couldn't take two minutes out of her day to get a straight answer out of the kitchen. If you have food allergies I wouldnt come here. I've been dairy free for over five years and meticulously track every single thing I eat in a day so I know for a fact that it had to have been what I ate here.
Got the Mongolian beef and general TSOs chicken for takeout. Good portions for the price. General TSOs had a good not too sweet flavor. Mongolian beef was very good lovely brown sauce with good flavor not bland. If you want things spicy make sure to go to a 4 because 2 was not very spicy at all. The food was pleasantly good definitely the better of the Chinese places in Hillsboro Beaverton area. Well have to try the noodles next time we go. Very impressed overall we...
