So my fiancé and I were looking for someone to make our wedding cake. We like to support small businesses and that’s why we came to Just a Dash.
We set up a cake tasting with her and everything was working out nicely, we told her we wanted a small cake for us and cupcakes for everyone else. We went ahead and set up a cake tasting with her and she sent over the quote for us. It was a little high for our budget so we were going to talk to her in person about it, when we went in for the cake tasting that we paid for. We got there and she was super nice to us. We walked in to the set up, and she brought up the order and we told her we might not do the cupcakes because it was a little to high for us but, we are looking at just doing a cake for the wedding party and our close family. (Something small but enough for the bridal party and family) her mood completely changed and made us feel completely uncomfortable. She told us “I wish you would have told me before, because if I knew that, I wouldn’t have set up the cake tasting. I don’t normally do cake tasting for orders under $300”
Excuse me? I am paying for the cake tasting anyways, if we are going to go through you or not... the order was going to be under $300 and she pretty much was blowing us off. She told us to go look at Thriftway, because they make decent cupcakes, if we were trying to keep to a budget. You know honestly, we were going to get a sheet cake for our wedding party after we found out the price but, we still wanted a nice cake for ourselves.
I get prioritizing your orders and wanting to make money, but if you are not going to spend at least $300 or more on a cake, don’t bother with her. She will make you feel little, uncomfortable, and not wanted.
Customer service is a huge thing especially if your a one man show. Was her cakes good? Yes, they were good. I wish she would have been much nicer and understanding that not everyone has $500-$1000 to spend on cakes. And even the little people should get treated just like the bigger people do. The word of mouth makes a huge difference.
We did find someone that can make amazing cakes, small local business, that can feed 150 people for like $100 bucks. She was much nicer and I would recommend her to...
Read moreStephanie did an amazing job on our dessert table for our wedding! She was so friendly and easy to work with. She baked up all of the goodies we asked to try and everything was SO delicious! The cake turned out even better than what I pictured and the dessert table was beautifully put together -she definitely has an eye for detail! She worked with us to have exactly what we wanted while sticking to our budget and even adjusted to make it a better price for us. We decided to have a two-tiered cake for cutting, semi-naked with drips on the side and florals which she placed on the cake just perfectly! We also decided to have whole fruit pies, a fruit tart and cheesecake along with mini versions of each which our guests loved! We included cookies (which she made two different kinds gluten free for some of our guests) cupcakes, salted caramel ganache tarts, lemon bars and churro donut holes! I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. I was worried about it being too many desserts but she said not to worry and that they would all be eaten and she was so right! Every dessert was gone before we even cut the cake (haha) and my guests all raved about the desserts. She even makes a box of all of the goodies for you to eat later since lord knows you probably won’t have time to eat any dessert at your wedding -I know we didn’t! What’s more is she even makes a cake and sends it to you on your one year anniversary which I thought was such a special touch. No more having to freeze and save the top layer which sounds like such a hassle. She is so much more affordable than other companies I looked into and even comes and picks everything up at the end of the night for a small fee even though my venue was about an hour+ from her location. If you’re looking for someone to make your cake and dessert dreams come true while not breaking the bank look no further! Just a...

Feels like a symphony in my nose LOL. This is NOT a sit down restaurant, but a to go one.
I personally buy ALOT of food when I stop by because it's SO YUMMY!! Pre made meals ready to serve and some ready to cook! Veggies (grilled carrots or brussle sprouts) My new favorite is the tazhiki potato salad, stop the presses!! As well and her pesto chicken Salad; she's a creative genius! Rotating menu with house made lavender lemonade and others at time. To die for 😍 Her soup is also seasonal or on rotation as well.
I haven't even mentioned her Baked goods...just heavenly! The owner is a Gem 💎 of an excellent human ❤️ she supports the community, local artists. The shop is also LGBTQ friendly ❤️
She also has crafts from some local vendors on display for purchase. I got the coolest little crocheted taco 😂, yummy candles, beautiful coasters made with love from Artists with Autism (which I definitely support the artist's and their hard work), fun earrings funny hand towels. Her merchandise changes and is more of a side display. This place is great for lunch on the go or ready to go dinners. This is my new favorite place to eat, with fresh and creative ideas! Support your...
