Broadway Saloon — Restaurant in Beaverton

Broadway Saloon has anchored a spot on the historic central Beaverton downtown street for many years and has a regular following with the people of Beaverton. This visit was on a Thursday early afternoon where we found a nearly empty establishment. Three of us spent $100 for 3 meals and 6 beers and sat for 2 hours to enjoy the saloon. We ordered 1 breakfast and 2 wraps with tatter tots. The Breakfast was 2 eggs, toast cubed potato's and sausage patty. The wraps were Buffalo chicken and the turkey club both with tots. All meals were huge for an individual portion and the wraps were well made and very tasty. The tots were cooked perfect. The bartender was excellent and very attentive to keep us taken care of with beer and sauces for our meals. The only reason for 4 stars was that the food was not outstanding. The Menu is based on their demographic, which is an older customer mostly a boomer generation. The choices are very traditional bar comfort food which many people are used to but I feel could be taken up a notch to really stand out. Beaverton is taking off and will soon have many other choices in very close walking distance to the Broadway Saloon. With Covid restrictions lifting I feel Broadway Saloon has an opportunity to shine by taking the menu to a new level and drive a new demographic to this unique location. The Restaurant competition in Beaverton is about explode and I'd be sad to see this iconic saloon fall behind. We will be back and keep supporting especially if the Broadway Saloon listens to this customer review. Great huge sandwich everything great except the corned beef which was over cooked and chewy which made it difficult to take a bite without pulling all the meat out. Carmen the little girl who answered your bars business phone line on Friday night the 19th-20th of September 2014 was truly something...words that would come out of my mouth right now would not be a very appropriate and adult way for me to express the disrespect I had experience by your staff..solely ur employee Carmen who kept answering my phone call and immediately kept hanging up on me before I could even get out a second word. I tried calling back about 5 times with receiving the same old results from her. All I wanted to ask was if your establishment had to offer video poker. From a bartender to another...Carmen you should honestly look into another career field because your customer service skills..well you don't have any and maybe working with people is not such a good idea...at least for the people who have to be around you. Take the stick out of your you know what and gain some people skills or I will call liquor control board for what I witnessed at your bar during your shift (i told you u i was coming just to see the face behind the phone)...and getting there at 2:34am..still serving drinks to what seemed like a much younger crowd without checking ID...well I can list on top of my head.. 2 very important violations that you just committed ...not only would you get a hefty fine & loose your licensing to serve or mix drinks but your actions also reflect negatively on ur...

I really wanted to like this place, so I was disappointed when I visited and found that I didn't like it, I LOVED it. Our server, Courtney, was welcoming and genuine from the moment I walked in. The vibe was mellow and understated, but classy in its own way. Like when princess Jasmine wanders out into the streets of Agrabah dressed as a commoner, I could tell that there was more to the Broadway Saloon than met the eye. It only got better from there when Courtney suggested the Moscow Mule in an authentic copper mug. You don't see that at the Brickyard! The ginger and lime were perfectly balanced, almost mischievous in the way they tickled the senses. Moving on, the STEAK! If I could give 10 stars for the NY strip, I would. Courtney suggested that I add sauteed mushrooms and, boy, am I glad I did! A perfect medium rare, I had to pinch myself to be sure I hadn't died and floated on to heifer heaven.
