Nobody should cry when they get a burger from McDonald's, right? And yet, it happened tonight.
We walked into the store this evening to order 4 meals. As soon as we got home we learned that one of them was incorrect.
I could tell that the family member affected by this was trying to hold back tears when they told me they didn't get what they ordered.
We ordered and paid for a double quarter pounder with cheese, no ketchup & no bun. The special requests were done correctly, but we only received a single patty & the cheese was melted in a glob off to the side of the patty.
I tried calling the store 3 times in a row to try to let someone know about the error, but it rang 10x then a message said to enter my access code.
My husband drove back to the store to get it fixed, but that wasn't the end of the errors.
He checked the burger in the store before leaving and the replacement was wrong!
He could see the guy in back as he assembled the replacement burger and watched as the guy failed to put the top slice of cheese on the burger.
Making an incorrect replacement for the first incorrect burger is ridiculous.
I'm so irritated (and hangry at this point.)
The receipt shows that the correct order was entered but it was made wrong, so the problems all belonged to McDonald's.
I am a little frustrated with myself for not remembering to check the order before leaving the store. But I shouldn't have to do this.
I'm REALLY frustrated that one of my kids had to fight back tears over a McDonald's burger.
On top of all that, I'm also very frustrated that nobody answered the phone when I called to explain the error. It wasn't that busy when we were there, and I can't imagine the restaurant got so slammed 15 minutes later that nobody was available to answer the phone.
This is terrible customer service every way you look at it.
I realize this is just a fast food $6 burger, but there is no excuse for this level of shoddy service.
(Thank you, Google reviews, for giving me a public place to vent about my...
Read moreI don't usually do this, I assume that some small margin of error is always possible in fast food, but I don't think I've ever gotten an order fully correct at this location. This morning was the final straw.
The order was for 1 Sausage Biscuit (standard menu item) and 1 Sausage Biscuit with Egg, add cheese. Pretty basic, right?
Attempt #1: confirmed at drive through, at pay window, and when picking up food that I ordered one sausage-only sandwich, one with egg and cheese. Confirmed by each worker, handed a bag, checked it and yep, wrong.
Attempt #2: went into location, explained issue to cashier. They promptly remake the same two wrong sandwiches.
Attempt #3: point out that I am looking for one sandwich comprised of 1 sausage patty and 1 biscuit, and one sandwich with 1 sausage patty, 1 egg, 1 slice of cheese on 1 biscuit. They bring me another sausage and egg biscuit, this time with cheese. Success!
Attempt #4: I point out that I'm still waiting on 1 plain sausage biscuit. They bring me 1 sausage patty in a chicken nugget box.
At this point I had places to be so I took my incorrect order(s) and DIY'd them together, but you know what? Costs for these items are out of control and it's not a lot to ask that sandwiches that can literally be made by robots at this point be assembled correctly. Everyone working at this location needs some training on how to listen to customer orders and record them. I get that I this day and age we are dealing with workers who are managing orders by pressing little pictures on a screen, and that customers can really suck, but this was not an...
Read moreConsistently disappointing. We walked in & placed our order on the machine to dine in. "What happened to human interaction?" I joked to my husband. The machine said to take a number and they'll deliver the food to our table. They called our number and when we went to the counter to get the food, the lady said we have to leave because they're closing. The hours are on the door and we should have known we couldn't eat there. As we were leaving we realized they forgot part of our order so we went to the counter to get it. The 3 people there ignored us so we waited. Finally the same lady looked at us and said, "What?" When she gave us the rest of our order, I commented that we didn't see the hours on the door we came in so she pointed to a different door and said, "It's on that door," and then argued with us about not needing to post their hours on every door and that we should have known they were closing. (So much for human interaction - I had something more pleasant in mind.) When we left, I looked at the door with the hours posted & saw "open 24 hours." I would've thought the machine would only allow to go orders if they were closing. IDK. But we stopped using their drive thru years ago because every single time they would get our order wrong & we'd have to go back. I guess there's no need to bother going back ever again regardless if we're dining in, to go, or drive thru. It's not like we go there for the food. There are other convenient places nearby that...
