Worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in quite a while. We had to get our own highchair even when we asked for one when being seated. The highchair was sticky as was our table and menus. Once we got our food I requested more napkins from our server Delores and we never received them and she passed our table a dozen times (and she never stopped at our table again until she brought our check). Most of our food was subpar in quality. Some things were over cooked and some things were undercooked. We waited for over 15 minutes with empty plates and cups waiting for a couple boxes for leftover pancakes (the only food items that were actually slightly above par in terms of quality). I have a lengthy background in food service and I don’t usually do what I did, but I didn’t leave a tip, because we weren’t served. It is disgustingly infuriating when you can’t even get extra napkins upon request, and when you watch your server take a personal call (which I pray and hope it wasn’t a dire life threatening call from a loved one) and ignore you multiple times, and when you get a visit from the server to replace the empty ketchup bottle (which was empty when I tried to use it) the server mumbles “I never catch a break” under her breath as she snatches the ketchup from our table. If you ask me Delores you appeared to be pretty much taking a break the entire 90 mins I was in the restaurant, while neglecting our table. I really wanted to complain about my barely warm food but the waitress never visited my table after delivering food to our table. When we cashed out the Manager in Charge asked how things were and I said “worst dining experience I’ve had in quite a long time” and that a lot of our food was barely warm, she asked what she could do (when I shouldn’t have needed to ask for anything she should have not had me pay for at least part of our meal), I still had to pay full price (minus $.08 which if the $.92 would have been given to me then my waitress would have been given a tip). I was so soured on this experience that I don’t know when I will ever be back to this my local Denny’s which sucks because until now this was the best place to get breakfast for lunch in Bedford, which hurts me more than leaving this review and not...
Read moreIf I could give this less stars, I would. Was there tonight with friends and I ordered the Fit Fare meal. This was after waiting about 20 minutes for the waitress to take the order. There were less than 6 other people in the restaurant, so it isn't like they were busy. We waited and waited for our meals and finally looked up in the kitchen window and there they sat. Not a waitress to be seen. The meals sat there for over 10 minutes after we noticed them, no clue how long before that. No refills on drinks were offered while we waited, but I guess that's to be expected since the waitresses were all evidently on break at the same time. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold and nasty. Cold egg whites mixed with cold spinach is just gross, not to mention they were swimming in spinach water where it had sat for so long. The English muffin was soggy from absorbing the water on the plate, the turkey bacon was chewy and cold, also. Good thing there were strawberries and bananas with the meal, but $14 is pretty steep for a few bites of fruit, since I couldn't get the eggs down. Usually our service is good, but this shift of workers were the pits. Thank goodness a couple new places have opened in town and our group has other options now. EDIT: I believe this store must be under new management, because I'd like to report that I tried Denny's again and was very pleased with everything. I wish I had caught the name of my waitress, she was amazing. She was the only waitress there and was running ragged to take care of the people who were seated and the carry-out orders. I felt sorry for her, but she didn't complain about the work load. The food was good, hot and plenty of it. I took home as much as I'd eaten there. The restaurant was clean and the A/C just right for this old woman with thin blood. Overall, this place has done a complete turnaround and I hope all shifts are as perfect as this one...
Read morei'm not a karen, but i am today. i placed an order on Doordash at 9:28 pm, and i did not receive my order until 12:45 am. this was also like a $30 order so it wasn't anything crazy. my first dasher told me the resturant was busy so it might be a while on my order, which is understandable. but she ended up giving up the order because she was there forever. i then had another dasher go to dennys to pick up my order. he was there for TWO HOURS. i called Dennys, and i respectfully asked what the issue was, and told them how long i have been waiting, and how long my dasher has been waiting aswell. the manager first acted like there was no Doordash orders, then he proceeded to say they contacted Doordash about how they were out of fried chicken, then asked what we wanted for a substitute. then he goes onto say that it says our order has already been picked up, and then tells me he needs to figure this out, and hangs up the phone. my dasher let me know that they took our order down because they apparently didn't have it, and that it's being made. time goes by, and my dasher finally tells me he is on the way. when my dasher got to my house, he informed me that they forgot the chicken so he had to confront them about that. come to find out, the entire order was basically wrong. everything was also cold, and hard. besides the chicken, which i didn't eat, but it looked disgusting, as if they haven't changed their oil in weeks. whoever is upper management at this store needs to get their stuff together for real cause this...
