McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Bedford

I haven’t been here in a long time because my order has always come out wrong. And McAlisters already isn’t cheap, especially when you’re constantly getting something made incorrectly. I came in today once I heard there was new management and ordered at the store for carry out, hoping improvements had been made. A choose two with a caesar salad and ultimate nachos. The fact that my card stuck to the counter when ordering should’ve been my first sign to back out slowly… I briefly checked my bag looking for salad dressing (something always forgotten in the past) and it was in the salad box. I assumed this meant they somehow managed to fit the nacho toppings in with the chips, or perhaps built the nachos rather than giving a cup on the side like they had in the past. Too afraid to open the potential mess in my car, I drove home where I discovered I had no nacho toppings or silverware for my salad. I paid $11 for lettuce with 2 croutons and tortilla chips. If I wanted plain tortilla chips, I had those at home and could’ve saved myself the drive and money. This is absolutely something I would’ve driven back to fix, except I wouldn’t have made it in time since I know this location habitually closes early. We used to love going to this establishment the past few years as we don't have a whole lot of local options for good food and bedford isn't far! the past year specifically the past few months the quality of food has drastically went down hill and I usually never give bad reviews but am doing so in hops management will see. The loaded potatoes used to be over flowing with toppings. now it's about half that amount and pretty sad looking. my boyfriends mac and cheese is always dried up and old looking. the sandwiches aren't loaded up like they used to be. kids cookie was pretty pitiful looking. all the way around way down hill. we go to locations in clarksville & Jeff and they still provide good food. just sad for what you pay to eat there. wish management would do some reevaluating! I've noticed it's a lot of young adults keeping it running when we are they unsure if that's why or because of cost of everything going up they have scaled back but if so I wish the meal prices would just be increased and the food look how it used to. the salads have been the only thing that still look...

Seriously? 1pm. Tuesday. Two staff members standing around and NOT one place to sit. The order counter caked in soda and the bottom of my cup sticky. Yay. Takes less than a minute to to wipe up between orders. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned in hours.

Then there’s the issue of the dining area. You’re charging 16 bucks for a BLT combo (with a tip). And then expect me to eat at a dining area that I have to hunt for a clean corner of the least messy table. There’s exactly 3 parties of customers in the restaurant ATM.

I blame management for this lack of service. It’s not a huge request for anyone to go above and beyond to dine in a semi clean environment. Is it? Just basic service. That’s all I expect.

Hey manager, how about you clean it yourself? There’s an idea. I’m not asking you to scrub the floors. Bus a table or two. Wipe. Done. Even the tables that had no dirty plates were covered in food. Some customers In Bedford don’t care about this; but...
