Sean Bolan's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Bel Air

This place is the local watering hole and should never be thought of otherwise. BUT I just tried their Cheeseburger. Personally I love burgers with that meaty taste and hint of flame broil flavor. In my opinion Sean Bolan's wins when it comes to a burger I would make. First and foremost you can order your burger on any bread with any cheese. I went with the pretzel type roll with american yellow. Cook medium to see if they had the talent to prevent over or under cooking this juicy perfection they rocked. Most places over cook but not these grill master specialist. Coming out perfect on an 1/2 inch succulent tomato and a few green sprigs of lettuce this is a masterpiece of flavor perfection. I added a slice of onion with a dash of mayo to the underside. Now I was ready to savor the moment. It was like a piece of heaven with juices running down my mouth and arms. The size of the burger is very large as any normal person might need a knife and fork to enjoy. I manhandled the beast getting a piece of each layer for the tongue to enjoy. The bar reminds me of a Baltimore watering hole with several fine beers fully represented for an Irish type bar. No BUD on tap at this place. It’s Saint Patrick’s Day, and one of my favorite days of the year. I get most excited about the food. I called Sean Bolan’s to ask if they had corned beef and cabbage (just to double check because I didn’t see it on their online menu), and my boyfriend wanted to go and pick us up two meals. When I called to ask if they had corned beef and cabbage today, the guy that answered the phone kind of laughed and said, “Yea, it’s Saint Patty’s Day!” So I was really happy (thought he was joking in a positive way). I laughed and said, that’s great! I didn’t see it on your menu.” I was happy to be getting ready to call my boyfriend back, but then the guy on the phone sounded annoyed, and said, “Is that all? We’re really busy here,” and added a sarcastic laugh to to end. I know it’s silly but it hurt my feelings. I get it, it was probably super busy and maybe it sounded like a ridiculous question, but before I sent my boyfriend there, I was trying to make sure. Needless to say, we decided not...

Went with my girlfriend to try it out, since it was the first time we'd ever gone there.. now her and I know not to come back. The food was good, but the service was lousy, waiter forgot our orders and had to come back to ask what we ordered.. didn't write it down.. forgot our water, and had to ask again for it, and we were seated next to an overly rude, disgusting and obnoxious family which made it very difficult to enjoy our meals. Im sorry but COVID isn't an excuse anymore.. if you're that short staffed, either reduce hours, seating or not open at all until you hire some extra staff and ones who are competent and do their job properly.. this was ridiculous. Will not return here again. The owner apologized in some respect.. didn't seem too sincere to me so I don't really think they care....
