-DO NOT EAT AT DOMINO'S IN BELLA VISTA- -Updated 6/4/2016-
I am blowing the whistle on Domino's in Bella Vista. I was let go today because a manager paid me too much money the night before. I had even mentioned that I thought it was too much money, but they gave it to me anyway. Because of this, I was treated like a thief and talked down to and then told to leave. Well, now that there's nothing to lose, I have plenty to say and no reason not to.
DO NOT EAT AT THIS DOMINO'S! countless times I have come across crates of moldy or rotten product and when I would ask to throw it out or what to do with it, I was always told to use it anyway. I'm not talking a little bit of mold or slight rotting, I'm talking mushrooms with mold on almost every piece or that are rotten to the point of liquidation. Bread that has green mold growing inside. Dough that is expired and looks and smells disgusting and is slimy. Too many times I've seen things dropped on the floor and then picked back up and used.
Re-dating expired food happens daily. Anything that goes bad is simply given an entire extra term of time. I've been told to redate chicken that literally had started to turn green and the chicken itself was slimy. The Philly steak and sliced Italian sausage are almost always expired product that you're getting because both are not in really high demand but both have short shelf life.
Food is constantly being mishandled and handled in ways that contaminate the food. This can be anything from dirty hands to dirty working surfaces to dirty tools and storage containers. Every day I find that the dishes from the night before have leftover food and loads of grease left on them. Bottle lids always having leftover sauces which gets put onto new bottles.... A vicious cycle of contamination. Literally nothing is handled in a sanitary or safe way at this Domino's. The worst part is nobody who is there now seems to care one bit that they are serving this crap to people.
The utensils and pans are another issue. Every 2 hours the cutters and other tools that touch the food are supposed to be changed. This includes the pans that they are cooked on. Sadly, I have never once in my time there EVER seen them switched out. From open till close you are getting leftover food contaminates from up to 15 hours earlier, if not days.
The current GM Archie and all of the managers at this store know of these issues and condone/force these unsanitary practices. Every time I brought it up, nobody would even raise an eyebrow. There is simply no respect, care, thought or pride put into the food here. To serve food all day that you wouldn't eat yourself….
I went to managers many times and showed my concern for the lack of sanitation and food safety, but never was it even considered to improve the situation. It was made pretty obvious that if I pressed the issue, my job would be on the line.
I am talking to the Benton county health department, Arkansas department of labor, lawyers and several news outlets about these issues. I will edit this post with updates as I have time. Any media that Facebook will allow me to post, I will eventually try to post. The text correspondence between management and I was removed due to the "privacy protection policy". They showed that management has no issue with telling me to serve moldy and rotten food. This is disturbing beyond words, and the reason I will not back down.
6/4/2016 Update Today I was contacted by the regional manager Mack, who asked me what I wanted. I told him that I wanted Domino's to fix the unsafe and unsanitary practices going on as well as the wage theft and other issues with employee maltreatment. I told him I had pictures and texts proving these issues, which he responded that those are "Domino's property" because they were taken inside of Domino's. I told him something still needed to be done... He said he didn't believe me. If he doesn't believe me, why tell me I can't use the pictures taken inside of...
Read moreI have to agree with other reviews that the quality of the food being made at this location has gone downhill significantly.
The crust, toppings, and cheese were noticeably good when we first moved to Bella Vista and started using this store. It now feels like our orders are sloppily being thrown together without any quality control. It's consistently bad enough now that I will go back to using other local pizza companies instead of exclusively using Dominos.
The customer service is in decline too. On a recent pick-up order. The one guy working refused to give us our meal, saying there wasn't an order in our name. He then snarkily said he didn't have time for us because he has pizzas coming out of the oven.
There was literally only one order on the rack. It took us 3 attempts to get him to realize it was our order. Once he realized his mistake in assuming that order wasn't for us, he changed his narrative and said...oh, I thought you were here to place an order, not pick one up.
What does that even mean? If someone comes in to pick up an order, you find the order and hand it to them. If someone comes to place an order, you simply take their order. These are very basic skills kindergartners can learn.
If your worker is too busy to help with a pick-up or with placing an order, all that needs to be said is...please give me one minute to finish this, and I will be right with you.
Telling us you don't have time for us is a sure fire way to lose...
Read moreI don't know how the heck they did this... but we had our pizzas at the door in 13 minutes after clicking order. Yes, 13 minutes! I am going to time myself making a PB and J next time... I bet it is not much slower considering putting things back in pantry too. We are a 6 min drive away. I really have no clue how this is acomplished... is their oven like 1,000 degrees or something? Did the pizza prep person work for pit crew Nascar? And it's not like we got normal pizzas... we had unique toppings, so it's not like they were sitting around from someone else that ordered. The 2 pizzas and brownies were good too! It's not like they didn't cook them long enough. Like, what kind of time warp magic do they have going on here? There is something sneaky going on... IDK how this is possible. Good job to the wizard or whoever...
