Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Belleville

This is the first time I've been to this Popeye's and maybe the last. I typically use a drive through and this place did not have one. Also, when I drove into the parking lot the hill was so steep that the front of my car scraped on the way up & on the way down upon leaving. I came during a busy time of day and the parking lot was very tight and risky. Now with all that out of the way. The short interaction that I had with the employee was perfect, the food was fresh and hot. I wish they coated the sauce on the boneless wings a little better or gave me a fork to help scrape it up. I would have went back for a fork, but I didn't want to go into that parking lot again. (In hindsight I could have shook the container to spread the sauce more) This Popeyes looked and smelled clean and presentable. It's nice they have COKE products, not PEPSI. The boneless wings tasted like unprocessed chicken breast and they were a reasonable size. I was happy with the quality of the product. I always get bone-in so this was different for me but still good. I hate to give 1 less star 🌟 bc of the parking situation, but location is part of the experience. I work for one of the many delivery services. I noticed you are only allowing 5 ppl inside the restaurant at a time. I completely understand this. However, I just showed up to pick up an order that was already marked as ready for pickup and the inside was at limit and the line outside was long and full of people in close contact. So now I have to wait 20 plus minutes before I can pick up and order that's already ready if I stay in line. I tried calling to see if I could get the order or have it ran out to me but there was no answer. I promptly rejected the order and moved on. When I originally recieved it I saw it was already past due. Meaning the original person who had the delivery probably rejected it prior to that upon showing up before me (it was a very big tip so not one turned away lightly). Now I leave and it goes to someone else and the cycle starts again. I estimate the person waiting probably gets the order an hour later than originally anticipated. I'd advise you to put something in place that allows delivery drivers to pick up the orders when they are ready so they don't just sit there. I reported an incident of food poisoning to a few managers and despite the fact that I offered information that would show why it was contracted at this place they chose to completely dismiss my complaint. They did offer to review the info however never shared where to have the info sent.

Seems like they just don't care whether they have a problem or not.

I understood their claim that no one else reported an incident however that may simply have meant that no one cared to report it or wasn't completely confident they contracted the illness from eating food from there.
