McDonald's — Restaurant in Bellevue

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! FROM THIS STORE. They will waste your time, exhaust your patience, lie to your face about their refund policies, and according to their own website, they’ll even try to keep your money!

Today I ordered online for curbside pickup. Paid by credit card. Arrived at the store within 15 minutes, but they had no record of my order number. When I showed them a screenshot of the order, including the note that my credit card had been charged $42 and change. The manager assured me that any orders not picked-up would simply be automatically refunded at the end of the day. So I made the mistake of leaving on her assurance that all was well. Now I’m looking at MacDonalds FAQ’s and they say that I should go to the restaurant from which I ordered and get them to refund the money. And that if I don’t they’ll just …keep …it…?! So the manager apparently lied to my face…?! (Aside from the ethical concerns, what’s the business strategy here?)

On their website in their FAQ’s (https://mcdonalds.com.mt/mobile-order-pay/faq/), they offer a form to request a refund for exactly this sort of situation, but the link lands on a mostly blank page entitled (approximately) “mobile order refund request” but the only other words on that page say that this service is “only available in Malta and” … [somewhere else international, that I’ve never even heard of]. I’m attaching screenshots to prove my case because it seems too ridiculous to be true.

So now I guess I’ll have to call my credit card company and wait on hold forever to get them to refuse/reverse the charge.

From the moment I ordered it was bad experience. The guy that took my order was abrupt/ bad attitude and didn’t have good customer service skills. Even my daughter who is 7 said “ mom he was rude”. Then I went to pay and the lady looked very annoyed 😑 not a please or thank you. I went to the last window and a poor young black kid that works there was being scolded and being told he had to redo some drinks. So the kid looked miserable. I didn’t even get a hello from the lady that was scolding him and embarrassing him in front of everyone. They all looked so stressed out / annoyed and it just comes off and rude and unprofessional. They gave me two medium sodas for two happy meals. I told the lady at the window and she starts to call out whoever took my order and he came around the corner and lied and said I ordered medium and I said , no I didn’t. But the manager didn’t have to be so aggressive when there is an issue just fix it!! I don’t want to be in the middle of it just give me my food. I’m a nice person i am 41 and this is my second “negative” review I’ve ever made in my whole life. The atmosphere was so negative, it really made me feel bad and not what I want to feel prior to eating my food. You'd think it'd be pretty hard to get a bad rating at a fast food place but somehow this place managed to do it...

Maybe there daytime crew is better then the later evening but we went here around I'd say 9pm and the line was packed and slow. I want to say it prob took us a good 15-20 minutes to order and get the food.

The person taking my order clearly didnt care for what he was doing and was "done". Ordered the bacon ranch salad with no bacon and he didnt put it in the order cause I could see it on the screen so confirmed twice with him no bacon is going to be in it right? Which he said yes. When I got to the window I told the guy there if he can make sure there's no bacon in my salad cause I saw the person who took my order didnt mark that so he told his boss who was bagging the food and the boss and employee who took the order start going off at each other about not marking it down and that he shouldn't pay him and about like why are you still working here and yeah... clearly they have some kind of bad beef between them.

The salad we got my wife said was one of the worse she's had and the glazed tenders I got where pretty horrible looking compared to my local usual mc donalds in Florida.
