The food was average at best depending on what you ordered. Customer service and attention to the allergies of the customers was lacking. We came around 12:30pm on a Saturday so I was surprised how some items were not available on the menu. Photos of the menu and the one on Google were inaccurate also. (Smaller menu now)
First off, the beef skewers were tough to chew and the customer service was poor overall. The noodles and broth were alright though. Might taste better if it's spicy. Limited menu for people who don't eat spicy foods.
From the customer service side, the server didn't mention anything about unavailable items on the menu until we tried to order it. The handmade Tamarind juice, fried milk custard and beef noodles (non-spicy) weren't available.
I told them that I can't eat spicy foods and they said they could make one of the spicy dine-in only noodles (forgot the name now) not spicy for me. Also, I ordered the beef skewers, but they didn't tell me it was spicy and it wasn't listed as spicy on the menu. I noticed the chili flakes on there when the order came out... No apologies, but they did give me another order of the beef skewers that was less spicy. (Didn't resolve my initial concern so I gave up)
The server didn't give me any water when I arrived until I asked them later (after sitting for awhile and ordering food). Finished my water and it took awhile before someone came by to fill it again.
Experience for the crossing-bridge rice noodles wasn't that good. They gave my friends the toppings first on the large round plate and tray underneath. When the soup came, they placed it on the table in front of them while my friends were holding the large plate and tray (trying to clear space on the table for it). Didn't know what the thought process is behind the limited space arrangement and how to put the toppings into the soup without help or more table space, but I ended up helping my friends by giving them a hand and placing the trays on the seat next to me and plates in front of me so they could do that to eat.
I went to another location for Yunnan noodles before and the servers offered support to put the toppings from the large plate into the soup for us since it would have been difficult otherwise (unless we had more space to put the tray and large plate down on the table).
Hope they improve on the customer service side and food quality. Limited staff might have contributed to the issues that I experienced...
Read moreVisited this place after watching the reels from the girl that I followed (I unfollowed her after this!)from my Instagram. Such a huge disappointment! Let’s talk about the place first, the restaurant is sharing with a bubble tea place which make it confusing where to go when everyone cluttered in the front door area waiting to pick up their bubble tea order. I got my seat very quickly once I realized for restaurant service I need to go to the right hand side of the place. As soon as I sat down, I noticed the table is glossy (oily), I think when the staff wipe the table they didn’t use any disinfectant soapy spray and only use a cloth to wipe. I asked a waiter to clean the table and mentioned that the table is oily and what he did, confirmed my theory on top, he grabbed a napkin from the tray and dry wipe the table. I was speechless!😶 We ordered our food from our phone, the food came out very quickly, I thought that’s great! They are at least efficient! One of the dishes that I ordered looks dry from the surface and apparently they microwaved it which explained the dryness on the surface.😕 We ordered the Golden Soup beef noodle, this dish portion is fair, but taste wise, is not good. Soup base is too salty, the fatty beef has been in the hot soup for too long caused overcook, their noodle is loose and flaky, I can’t pick it up by my chopsticks. We ordered the $9.95 Red Oil Greedy Beef Shank appetizer, it came out nice but there are only 9 thin slice of meat which I think they are being too stingy. (See below photo for reference). Taste is fair. we also ordered Northern Szechuan Mung Bean Jelly Salad and Wontons In Well-seasoned chili Sauce, the salad taste blended and the wonton taste porky, don’t get me wrong the seasoning is alright. The service there is minimal, they did not come by to refill my water at all, they came by to ask if we want to order anything else because it’s last order time, after that, he came by and ask us to pay…🤨 The restroom is also dirty…🫣 No wonder on a Saturday afternoon, they...
Read moreIt was our first time here, and we will be back to try their other beef noodles. The broth wasn't the best of the cross the bridge noodles weve tried, plus the water tasted like soap because it prob wasnt washed properly, and would be 4.5 stars if I could. However everything else was good enough for me to not take a star off. The waitress! She was probably one of the best Ive had, she was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly, and gave honest recommendations. She treated us as if we were long time friends and it was our first time there. She was the only one there during dinner time, we were pretty much the only ones there at first but the place quickly filled up and she had to run around all the tables by herself. She said she wasnt expecting it to get this busy and apologized even though she was still very attentive. She still managed to smile and keep the exact same friendliness as when we were the only ones there, and did not get frustrated like most people would have in that situation. Also the portions were generous, and they were kind enough to switch pork (we dont eat pork/ham) with other veggie dishes instead without a hassle. We had a good experience and cant wait...
