Yesterday I got caught up in some work, it got late, I wanted something quick to eat without having to cook or clean. So I ordered McDonald's on the app and went to pick it up. A $5 meal deal, nothing big. It took me less than a minute to order, and 3 mins to get to the location. When I got there the line for the drive through was wrapped the whole way around the building and the doors to the dining room were locked. As I'm waiting in line, I'm watching the 3 girls doing the beverage station and bagging orders just dancing. This is the first point that I consider abandoning the order and driving away. I should have.
As I get to the order point, the person taking orders seems to be blatantly ignoring one line for 10 mins or so, then switching to the other. The guy in front of me had been there for roughly that amount of time when there is a traffic disagreement at the nearby intersection, two guys honk and yell at each other then go on their way. The order taker (who has not engaged with either order point in the previous 10 mins that these drivers have pulled up) suddenly starts going from order point to order point demanding to know who is honking their horn, and then proceeds to take the wrong person's order. At this point I'm heated. I eventually get to he order point, wait for them to decide to acknowledge me, the young lady taking my order speaks to me as if she's annoyed that I exist.
15-20mins later I make it the 2-3 car lengths to the first window. The young lady there is fully consumed by her phone. She eventually looks up, opens the window, and confirms which order is mine with an attitude as if she is pissed off that I decided to buy food from her. I said, yep, that's my order. She reaches up and rips the receipt as it's printing, hands me half a ripped up receipt, and slams the window shut. I can tell from where the receipt is perforated and the chunk of the previous customer's receipt attached to the first half of mine that I wasn't the only one to get this treatment.
Another 15 mins or so and I make it to window 2, where the young lady who was previously seen dancing asks me to tell her what I ordered. I confirm my order and she hands me my drink which had been sitting long enough for the ice to melt and the soda to separate from the water. She then turns around and continues a conversation with the other dancing girl as she lazily picks through the half a dozen or so orders beside her to find mine. Zero urgency. She eventually reaches back out and hands me my order. No apology for the wait or anything. Simply let's me know she thinks my dog is cute. At this point I've been in like for 67 mins to get a $5 meal.
I pass this location twice a day. I stop there often. The morning crew is great. This has been my experience with the night crew three times now, though. This isn't a fluke, it's bad management. 67 mins is an insane amount of time to be trapped in a...
Read moreI love this McDonald's. I go here at least twice a week, and every time I go, I get in and out quickly, with hot food and great customer service. They've even read back my order correctly a few times. There was also a few recent times they have messed up.
That being said, I will never come to this location again. It was a nightmare yesterday. It took forever to take my order and then cashier didn't know what she was doing—it took her forever to take my money! Then when it came time to ring up my food and pay for it, she did it all wrong. She charged me extra for things that should have been included in the 2 for 3 dollar combo deal. When I asked her about it her response was “just a 2 for 6 popped up” and didn’t say nothing else. She don’t know what she’s doing. Then when I pulled up to the second window, I asked the person about why didn’t my mcchickens ring up as 2 for 3. They didn’t do nothing to fix it or said anything. Then I got caramel frappe and they loaded my frappe with so much extra caramel sauce that it tasted like straight caramel sauce and sugar. I brought my niece here to get food also and her french fries were cold as ice cubes! Literally—they were hard as rocks! Then when I checked my bag, there was no Big Mac sauce for my niece’s nuggets that I asked for. And I paid for the Big Mac sauce!!!
It's just sad because this place is usually so good, but recently they have been going downhill. They got all these kids, no managers around and if there is a manager they are a kid themselves. I will not be...
Read morePoor coordination at the drive through. Location uses dual lanes and kiosks. Due to this, the lane I was in was ignored for at least 14+ minutes, I timed it. After providing my order, upon arrival, finally at the first window, an additional 8 minutes later, the employee could not find the order I had provided, on her screen, and required the assistance of a manager in order to get the price and order straight. The employee was so clueless, and incompetent that she didn't even know that there were 2 kiosks and lanes 😳 giving orders, and that she was ignoring one of the lanes for an inordinate amount of time. At the order delivery window they provided an incorrect order, and it had to be corrected, both food, and beverage. This franchise owner is incompetent, and it IS demonstrated at EVERYONE of HER franchises in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh. The minorities she hires to work in the stores are good for ONLY ONE THING, and that's janitorial jobs. I have witnessed this time after time!!! The other employees are barely capable of doing their jobs. This is fast food PEOPLE, we AREN'T working on bumping an asteroid from an earth bound impact. IN OTHER WORDS, IT'S NOT ROCKET...
