Schneider's Sweet Shop: Homemade Candies & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Bellevue

My husband's family has been visiting Schneider's sweet shop for four generations, much like the Gold Star in Bellevue. I have written a review for them as well. 😁 Anyhow my family stopped in on Saturday morning, March, 18, 2023. It never ceases to amaze me how much I love it when we walk in and that mouth watering smell of chocolates and candies just wrap around you like a warm and inviting hug. My husband also says that the shop has not changed much and it takes him back to when he was a child and his Great Grandmother would take him there for their peanut butter fudge. He still to this day, after 50 years of living, will get peanut butter fudge in memory of his Great Grandmother, Grandma Sharp. I am honored to pass this tradition on with our children and we will also pass it down to their children. As long as Schneider's sweet shop exists, this family tradition will continue. It was a great experience. Brought back a lot of childhood memories. I'm not a huge chocolate lover, but I noticed a lot of the customers were. But with some many flavors unknown and the cost, it would be difficult to make the right choice. Here's an idea I thought of, what if you had a small sample of a particular flavour and advertised it on line to buying customers that would bring them in to sample and again that would be available only to people buying. That would bring customers back and encourage people who would buy chocolates and still buying ice cream. I wanted to buy chocolate candy, but not what I'm familiar with. I can buy that anywhere, but if there was a small sample each week that was posted, that would bring me back. EXCELLENT service, precious worker helped us! The opera cremes are super rich but lovely, very silky white cream in chocolate. Skip the coconut creams--they taste like chemical flavoring, like cheap suntan lotion, Almond Joy beats them 10 times over. Their turtle, pecan pattie things are excellent! The honeycomb chips are excellent. Save a lot of money and skip the butterfinger things, they taste like a chemical flavoring. Butterfinger candy bars are 10 times better. Would not be back again. I was really sad because we had found them on YouTube and watched their history clips and videos. If you have ever had See's chocolate, this is not the place for you, just spend the money and order the good stuff. The price is really worth it for superior taste and mouth feel.
