Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Bellevue

I spoke with Megan over the intercom. Apparently the lady with the purple hair in other negative reviews. I asked for yogurt in my smoothie she informed me “we don’t do that” I was confused and taken aback as she came off extremely rude. I was starting to ask if there was any other yogurts and she started talking over me and stated “we don’t do that here but since I’m not busy I guess I’ll do it” I was honestly shocked since I typically love going here and getting a smoothie. I couldn’t figure out why she told me no and then told me yes? When I pulled up to the window I asked if she was the one I just spoke with and she stated”why is there a problem” I said I was confused because I normally get yogurt in my smoothie everytime and was wondering if there policy changed. She did not answer for a bit of it was her I asked her for her first name and she said uh I guess Megan and I thanked her for explaining it she then half smiled and slammed the window. I placed an order online. 1 of the 3 food items ordered was made incorrectly, and the wrong chips were given. We brought back the wrap and chips. Staff behind the counter was friendly. They asked the young man who was sitting at one of the tables to remake the wrap, and then came the attitude. Sorry dude, I know being asked to do actual work while being paid is rough. Being told to fix your mistakes must be soul crushing.

The food was a huge let down. The chicken is a strange texture, like a crunchy rubber, and the pesto sauce in the flatbread has a trace of actual pesto flavor if you think long and hard about it, but is far more reminiscent of a barbecue flavor than pesto.

Lady with colorful hair behind the counter was a rude, disrespectful person who clearly shouldn’t be out in public around people. Walked in through their door and went up to counter to order and she rudely told me the lobby is closed and drive thru only. I don’t know why it was allegedly closed, but I told her my car was being serviced next door so I can’t drive thru… sorry can’t help she said and went about her business. Maybe lock your lobby door if it’s closed and go get a job where they don’t let you...
