They had to switch to a different cashier, and it was clear they weren’t sure what they were doing. We ordered a single bagel with egg and avocado, and they charged us $17, saying it was an extra $7 because they use “three eggs.” It took 25 minutes to get our order, and when we asked about the delay, she made excuses about only taking reservations on weekends—despite still accepting our to-go order. If I didn’t need food for my medication, I wouldn’t have waited.
The restaurant was almost empty, with people just sitting around with drinks. When we finally got the bagel, there was hair on it, and there was definitely not three eggs—maybe one at best. It’s terrible how they charge premium prices but deliver low-quality food, tiny portions, and such slow service. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
Edit: As a Christian myself, I’m so disappointed and discouraged by the owner’s response to my honest review and experience at the restaurant. As Christians, we’re called to be more like Christ and to act humbly—this situation should encourage the restaurant to reflect on how to improve, rather than dismiss or minimize my experience simply because we had a private conversation and some laughter. Are we not allowed to have conversations and think in a restaurant?
Our issue was never the upcharge itself, but the combination of the high price, the poor quality, the slow service, and the hair we found in our to-go order—none of which matched the value we were charged. There’s no need to deflect or offer excuses. At the end of the day, that was our experience, and we wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreWe’re first timers but will definitely be back. This hidden Bellflower gem is a must try. The service was prompt, efficient and pleasant. The food, delectable and portions were perfect for us. I had the Brown Sugar waffle. It was fluffy with the perfect texture. The Italian cream cold brew was a 10/10! Hubby had the Sloppy omelette with chili paste and added avocado. Very savory and I think that will be my next dish when we return. The environment is welcoming and wholesome. We added to the prayer wall, which was a hit for me. Our family has experienced some major trauma and to know someone is willing to share their love in prayer melts my heart. Fri-Sun, reservation is recommended but we were...
Read moreStopped into this bistro for breakfast while visiting from out of town. It was near our hotel and had good reviews so we decided to pop in. They do require reservations on the weekends but they were very kind and offer to accommodate us walking in. We ordered avocado delight and iced coffee and an iced matcha and WOW everything was so delicious!! My friend has a few dietary restrictions and they were very helpful and willing to do substitutions for her, the waitress was super sweet and wanted to ensure our meal was not only correct for her restrictions, but also delicious! We will definitely be back and I highly recommended to anyone wanting a...
