Not Recommended for Tired Travers - False Advertising. A Motel in an Inn's clothing. I stayed at Aspire Inn in Bellflower, CA with my two sisters. We had booked a double bed room for two nights, but ended up staying only one. After a five-hour drive, we pulled into the parking lot around 9:30 PM. Right away, it was clear this was not what we expected. Despite the name Aspire Studios & Spas, it’s a motel—not an inn or studio. Had it not been so late, we would’ve turned around and gone somewhere else immediately. To be fair, the clerk was nice, and I appreciated being able to cancel the second night without a hassle. But that’s where the positives end. The room decor was a strange mix. White walls with ebony and teal green trim, and a large pink pleather headboard attached to the double beds made the space feel dated. The baseboards were scuffed and the walls were dirty. The bathroom and bedroom furniture had a modern overlay, but it was clearly low-quality. There were some nice features like a full-size refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave. But then came the deal breaker—a large roach made an appearance shortly after we got into our pajamas. I took pictures and called the manager immediately. Two people came to the room, looked at the photos, and said housekeeping would take care of it in the morning. No offer to spray or switch rooms. If I had been traveling alone, I would’ve checked out at first light. And if I’d known the neighborhood, I might have opted to sleep in my car. I asked for a discount due to the situation, but was told they couldn’t offer one because I booked online. Apparently, if I had walked in, a discount would’ve been possible. That felt like an unfair policy. Lastly, they charged a $100 deposit on my card. That’s steep—most major hotels only charge $50 a night. I honestly don’t know what they’re trying to protect with that deposit—maybe their roaches? It’s clearly a small, family-run business, and I don’t want to tear them down. But they need to stop falsely advertising. The property does not look like the photos online, and the name Aspire Studios & Spas is misleading. A more honest name would be Aspire Motel. Travelers deserve to know what they’re booking.

All of the reviews for this hotel must be fake or paid for. DO NOT BE FOOLED LIKE I WAS. The only good thing about this hotel is the nice man at the front desk. We checked in, got to our room, and were disgusted to find men’s body hairs, long black hairs, and crumbs all over one of the beds. So obviously, the bed sheets had not been changed. The floors were disgusting as well. I went to the front desk and the man apologized and gave us a new room key card to another room. Went in to the other room, and while there was no hair on the bed, the floor was DISGUSTING. My socks turned black. There were hairs, crumbs, and dirt ~all~ over the floor. There were long black hairs on the bathroom towels we are expected to use after showering. The bathroom towel “mat” was grossly brown stained. The house keeping here does not clean properly in this hotel. The whole time we just felt disgusted as it is evident they don’t clean there. Save yourself the trouble and disgust and just stay somewhere else… Hotel needs a DEEP clean. We checked out at 7am because we couldn’t wait to get out. Beware.

We booked for 7 nights but only stayed one night because the rooms were not as clean and nice as on the pictures online. We got the first room next to the open entrance and you could hear everything outside. We were two girls and didn’t feel very safe. We asked for an upgrade and first they promised a free upgrade and 15 minutes later, as we were unpacking our stuff in the new room, we were told that they have to charge us 300$ for the upgrade. We didn’t agree so we had to stay in the first room and agreed on checking out the next day. As we wanted to check out the next day they offered a free upgrade again. Luckily we could cancel and got our money back.

I read the reviews and looked at photos before booking here. Photos can really enhance the truth. I was completely disappointed! Overpriced for sure as this is not a tourist city. I was happy because we were able to check in early without an extra charge and we were even upgraded to a room with a kitchenette. I don’t know if that was a great idea. The room was dirty! The counters and nightstand had some sort of stains, looked like blood. The toilet had an accumulated-gross brown line. The kitchen appliances had fingerprints all over them. The sink had water marks all over it! The dish soap dispenser was half full, dirty on the outside and there was a dirty-grayish sponge there. There was hair on the floor that my kid trailed on the bed. The shampoo and conditioner bottles seemed used-even though the front desk staff said it was new. I felt awful that I took my friend to California for her birthday and she had to clean her room before calling it a night after a long road trip and day at the beach. We were given a partial reimbursement for the room, but the experience was still not a...
