El Picosito Restaurant — Restaurant in Bellflower

Terrible service! I ordered a sausage and bacon breakfast burrito today like I always do, except I ordered 4 other burritos as well for my whole family. All of the burritos barely had any meat inside compared to what it usually has. (Mined you I’ve lived next to this restaurant for 17yrs now and have watched them change owners.) It wasn’t until I FINALLY saw the bacon that was in my burrito that I had an even bigger problem because it was uncooked bacon and besides the fact that that’s not healthy I also happen to be pregnant in which I definitely can not have uncooked meat. So I called them to re-order that one burrito and Inform them of the dilemma. I was placed on hold twice and then hung up on. I called back twice and they failed to answer. I sent my spouse back to the restaurant, they denied hanging up on me. They also tried to say the bacon was cooked until it was shown to them. They made a new burrito, got it wrong and only put bacon on it when we originally paid for sausage too. They tried to argue that sausage was included until my husband flipped the foil over and showed them where they had written it down. And then FINALLY made the burrito correctly after 3 tries. THEY HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST OUR BUSINESS AS LONG...

I have been going to Picosito for many, many years. The food is good. Probably one of the best in the area. It is authentic Mexican food. The employees are polite and efficient. The prices are good. My daughter goes there as well and now even my granddaughter's love it. Actually they've been eating there since they were babies. I don't know her name but there is one woman that has been there a long time and has short hair. Usually she is the one working when we go, and she's very nice and polite and efficient. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Sometimes we dine in, sometimes we call ahead and get it to go. We eat everything from there. We have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And dessert. They have flan. It's a really a good place. If you have not tried...

I really like the food here and now that they’ve recently installed a digital menu board, I can actually see the prices of items before ordering.

However the business hours are a complete mystery. The Google hours haven’t been accurate since before COVID, which is fine, but they also don’t post hours on the door except on a holiday, and even then they aren’t accurate.

Typical hours seem to be 8am-8pm but I have come by many times at 7:30pm and found them closed. Today, a sign was posted saying they would close at 3pm for the holiday, but I came at 2:30pm to find the whole place locked up already.

I love so close and would love to support them but the fact that I have no idea when they are open and not following their hours when they do post them makes it...
