Read moreThis is a place YOU WON'T REGRET!!!! Isidra was a great host as soon as we walked in. You can tell it's one of thos spots that get filled up really fast out of nowhere and they have a good reason to be. The food here was amazing 10/10 on the best tacos rating scale. Dialing it back I parked in what is a small parking lot and potentially more in the back, it's on a busy street so do be careful going in and all. I'm sure the locals have no problems already knowing the spot. Walking in there's large menus adorning the halls for people to see when it gets packed. The host we got was Isidra as she welcome is in she was super friendly, helpful with the menu and even provided complimentary fish tacos to try the menu!! Everything looked so good but we ordered tacos dorados de papa, a combo of 3 tacos w/rice and beans, namely - 2 fish tacos (after the ones we tried ❤️) 1 shrimp taco and an add on shrimp cocktail that was the best I've ever had in California, pure bliss!!! All the staff is super cool and friendly, from the host to the chef and the cashier. I got a fresh hibiscus water, agua de Jamaica and it was pretty good unlike many other places around LA that TRY to make the same water and doesn't hit the spot. Honestly the decor was great too and felt like a taste of home back in Mexico. Sitting down I noticed our plates came with a chili that seemed to be seasoned with salt and some other spices which made it delicious and not to mention for those that don't handle spice well. It wasn't spicy, it was more of a side snack. Don't even get me started on the salsa! It was so amazing and I will never forget it. I will definitely bring some chef friends/family members to help me figure out what they put in it. The plates were more than filling so we took our leftovers to go but this spot is definitely made for anyone to come. Bring yourself, your friends or family, or even a big group. They have a massive table in the restaurant that would make a big outing/party worth it. This is my new favorite Mexican spot with the best fish tacos in all of...
Read moreAfter a long day at college I got home around 6:15PM today and came across my brother ordering from Taco Nazo for him, my mom, and me. I told him what I wanted, he finished ordering under my name, phone number, and email. Pickup was listed at 6:31PM, so I got in the car and started driving. I didn’t grab a hoodie since I thought I wouldn’t have to wait too long for my order once I got there. Three burritos, a fish burrito with added avocado, an asada burrito, and a grilled mahi mahi burrito. That’s it for our order. It was around 57 degrees outside, so it was cold for me outside with a blue short sleeve shirt and gray jeans.
I’ve been getting take out here for at least a year already, following what my parents have told me to do. Park at the Baskin Robins so I don’t have to park in the sort of cramped spaces at the restaurant, and walk to the Express store they have for take out.
Once I got to the Express store, it is 6:26PM. So, I waited and at 6:32PM I got a text that my order was ready. At this point, none of the girls and guy outside handling orders came up to me and asked what I needed help with or if I ordered online. As customers came and went picking up their orders and ordering themselves, I’m still standing there, staring at the email from Taco Nazo. Time goes by, and still no response from any of the workers there. I tried raising my hand a bit to get one of the employees’ attention, but no luck. A guy comes up to the Express store, and he picks up his order. By now, it is 6:53PM and no response at all from anyone. People are in their cars waiting for their orders, and I’m the only one standing outside still waiting for my food. Finally, one of the girls comes over and asked if I ordered online. I said, “Yes”, followed by my name, show her the email, and she handed me my order. We both said thank you, and I went back home. By the time I got my order, it was 6:56PM. The food’s great as always, but this was the first time I waited this long to pickup my food, whether the Express store was...
