Taqueria Don Jorge — Restaurant in Bellflower

I absolutely love this place! They have great specials. They have a Monday/Friday $1 fish n shrimp tacos that are beyond superb. Super delicious and well worth the cost.

I really love their horchata waters, very authentic with a slight cinnamon taste. I have yet to sample their other delicious dishes, but based on the yummy smell that engulfs you when you walk in, the images on the menu look super scrumptious.

Definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants fish/shrimp tacos.

Also, they have $1 taco Tuesday with a variety of meats. Personally I was 50/50 with the chicken due to how they prep it. I mean it is good to say the least, but its prepared with a very light tomato sauce, but still good nonetheless.

Oh yeah I tried their chilli cheese fries and the hamburger and even though the burger might be a little on the small end, it tastes so delicious!! I honestly don't know what it is they do to make it so great but it is.

If you order ahead, make sure to pick it up ASAP because they wrap it in aluminum and it can get some of the bread a bit soggy but the taste...

This review isn’t about the food because I love it but the service. I know during COVID places take phone orders and this place is no exception. It’s a first come first serve basis so if someone places an order on the phone before you get there they will receive that order. I made that mistake before by going and placing an order it’s easier on the phone. So my girlfriend and I always come here. We place an order on the phone and we come, pay and take it to go. But lately I feel like the service both inside and out have been lacking. I called and was greeted by a rude response. Which I just put aside because I wanted their food. I didn’t even get to finish my order. I barely placed an order of 6 tacos to just be cut off saying it’ll be ready in 15 mins and they hung up. I tried to tell her I wasn’t done but the phone was already cut. I will not be coming back if they keep up this poor attitude if she was feeling rushed by customers being inside they could have said will you please hold and I would have or simply not pick up until...

Pozole is flavorful and made from home no can heat microwave bullcrap this is authentic stuff and they make it fresh an evening before the next day before ready for serving to let the delicious taste simmer to perfection..😋 i deeply recomend this place for those looking for a quick hangover cure and just the right amount of power juice to recover..note: theres a liqor store next door they dont serve...
