Our server Tony was SO patient with me! It was my first time trying sushi and I was leery. The spicy tuna on crispy rice was excellent. Loved, loved loved the eel sauce! The salmon was my favorite. Will definitely be back! Oh yeah and the plum wine, sweet but packed a punch! Y'all come on down!! Don't miss this little gem in Bellflower.

The lunch deal here is extremely worth it! For like $11, they give you rice and reasonable amount of protein. The rolls are also good. I liked the sushi taco the most. It's crispy taco but the wrap was crispy seaweed and inside was fresh tuna and salmon! Great adaptation to SoCal. It's super delicious and affordable.

This place is really good. Great bang for the buck I have been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The fish always tasted fresh and cold, not lukewarm like a lot of other places. I'm a bit bummed that they don't carry Kirin, so I had to settle for Sapporo.

‼️W A R N I N G ‼️ NOT KID FRIENDLY ‼️‼️ We've been to Daru several times as a family and have always had a good experience—until recently we were incredibly disappointed. We visited Daru yesterday with our 2 year old toddler, who is an extremely picky eater, so we brought a Happy Meal for her as we’ve done before. This time, however, the staff refused to let us bring it inside, even though it’s never been an issue in the past.

I understand restaurants have policies, but we were long-time customers, and this policy was never an issue before. It’s disheartening that rather than being accommodating, especially for a small child, they turned us away. I asked the young lady that was our server if she could allow it this last time as a final one time courtesy and moving forward we will no longer bring outside food for her, but she would not budge and said “no.” we explained again, that the food was just 4 nuggets and fries for our toddler and we, her parents, would be eating off the Daru menu but, again, she was firm on her stance.

We always supported this establishment, but after this experience, we will never be back.

It was disappointing to feel unwelcome after being frequent visitors at a “family-friendly place”, I expected more understanding and flexibility. Instead we were shamed in a full restaurant in front of the...

I've been a regular customer for 5 years, I've always come with my service dog many times before the pandemic, and today I came back after moving back to NC during the pandemic and decided to dine in to have the full experience again. The food was awesome as always, the waiter was amazing, but the hostess ruined my meal when at the end she asked me about my service dog, I gave her the answer, and despite my answer she kept harassing me about the dog, that not only is a trained service dog for PTSD, but also had been extremely quite as it should be the entire time, she should have asked me at the beginning and no issues, I know the protocol, but the fact that she made the scene when I was leaving and continued after I gave her the answer just made it a...

Super dank Japanese food!!! The price is really great too! I ordered 3 different rolls and they were so good. Devoured them. My mom is a picky eater and she loved them too.

I got the classic: a crunch roll and also ordered the salmon tempura roll and the calamari roll. I also loved the fact that they included a few pieces of tempura with the rolls.

If your hungry, I suggest you call way ahead of time. I'm guessing that they tend to get overwhelming large amounts of orders so it can leave you waiting between an 1 to 1:30 for food.

I mean, it is worth the wait, but if you're starving, plan ahead. I did order on a Friday night, so I'm not sure if that was the reason for it. I can't wait to try their bento box...
