Taqueria Zavala #3 — Restaurant in Bellflower

I just had the weirdest experience at this location. I ordered a jamaica and it tasted a bit bitter. So I kindly ask the cashier if I could exchange it for a Coke. She told me “uhhh why?” I say it taste weird. She says “uhhh it can’t taste weird I just made it” and I say well it does, she says “it can’t taste weird” so I reply, are you really not gonna change it? I can pay the difference if the coke is more. She says “it’s not that we just don’t do that here, I have to pay out of pocket for you” so I reply “you know what? Thank you never mind but take it because it’s undrinkable” I walk away. She later comes and says “here I’ll just pay for it for you, I say no thank you I don’t wanna bother and she insist.

So problem 1. No refunds on bad food/drinks!? You’re either lying or , management fix this issue cause to be honest I’ll never go back to this location again for that weird interaction. You’re making your cashiers look weird. Or place a sign that clearly states “no exchanges even on rotten food/drinks” see how many people stay.

The cashier could have handled that way better and more professional. I wasn’t trying to be rude at 1pm so I let it go... But she has to learn how to talk to customers.

All in all there is a BETTER more open Zavala close to this one. They are sweet ladies and very professional. I suggest you...

Ok ....First time here looks like a Mom and Pop shop .As soon as you walk in you are Greeted by the cashier's . It's a small restaurant but you can see that the tables are very nice and clean inside and outside dining area . I ordered 6 tacos . Two cabesa ....two carnitas and two tripitas . Wow ....These tacos are EXCELLENT . Very Authentic.I even ended up ordering two more of Tripitas which are really crispy and clean The cabesa tacos we're very soft and flavor full . The carnitas tacos were cooked perfect as well ...crispy on the outside but tender on the inside and NOT GREASY at all .The Young ladies bring you your food to your table with plenty of sides ...hot sauce both red and green ...onions with cilantro ...lemons...radishes....carrots an onion in vinegar also a jalapeno that's been roasted on the grill and there's also a side bar if you need more . The Young ladies working the cashier gave me Excellent Customer Service and there is Plenty of Parking aswell. I give them Five stars ⭐. I will be returning real soon . Amazingly good! Great service, very friendly.

Staff appears to have fun with each other, creates an entertaining experience.

They have a happy hour special, a burrito for $6. You can choose from a wide variety of meats; chicken, asada, pastor, carnitas, lengua, chorizo and I may be missing another type of meat.

Those burritos are a slice of heaven in your mouth. They have a variety of sides like cilantro and onion, picked onions and carrots, radishes and lemon. I absolutely LOVE IT.

I had been here in the past and thought it was decent, but I recently decided to try the happy hour an I fell absolutely head over heels for this.

I ordered the asada burrito and each bite was delectable. I added a side of chips for crunch but the burrito is perfection on its own.

My partner had a penchant for sauces and he absolutely loves them.

Happy Hour is from 3-6 PM and I 100% recommend you eat here, you will not regret.
