We’ve gone here several times and we like it, though I think it really depends on the flavor you get. They have a couple constant flavors, and also a couple that change each week. $9 one size cup (we always just share one).
Ones with stronger flavors will taste better, like Raspberry Dark Chocolate or Passionfruit (both very delicious!). This is because the main ingredient in the ice cream is a heavy cream, so mild flavors tend to get overpowered by it. That was my experience with Cookies & Cream, though it’s a really popular flavor here for kids!
The staff are always so nice, and they get bonus points for having an entire nut-free allergy station! It’s also fun watching them make the ice cream, of course.
I rate 4 stars out of five because I’ve had a few flavors that are just okay, and get overwhelmed by the flavor of the cream. Like I said, it depends on the flavor you order, and I personally think stronger ones are better.
However, we do go probably once a week, since there have absolutely been some amazing flavors and they have new ones each week. Overall, I definitely recommend trying...
Read moreGenuinely appalled by how rude this employee was to me and my entire family. They close at 10 and at 9:50 they had told us a closing warning and for that next ten minutes we were bothered at least 3 more times. My mom had gone to use the bathroom at around 9:53 and the second it turned 10 o’clock this employee had rudely told us we had to leave that second. At this point we had been standing by the door about to leave, just waiting for my mom to come out of the bathroom, clearly we were about to leave, it’s not like we were sat and still eating. Then this guy says that we have to wait outside for her(in the pouring rain) and that she can leave the back way. Mind you it was 10:01 at this point. Genuinely shocked on how rude this man was, I’ve been working in customer service for many many years and never would I say anything half as rude to a paying customer. I’ve loved this ice cream place for a long time and now my family, my fiends and myself will never go back. Not to mention he is just flat out not good at rolling ice cream and it was hard to watch. Unexpectedly...
Read moreI was a little skeptical at first, $10 for what appeared to be a smallish amount of rolled up ice cream, but boy was I mistaken!
First off, they have options for everyone - gluten free, dairy free, vegan, nut free, etc. so that’s an immediate plus! Secondly, we had a couple allergies (nuts & gluten) and this was one of the most conscientious places we’ve been to. If you have an allergy, they do a thorough cleaning and use all new utensils, a welcome change compared to many food establishments.
They mix and make the ice cream right in front of you, breaking up ingredients and pouring the cream on the chilled surface turning into ice cream in front of your eyes. It’s an art that was fun to watch. The flavors were amazing! Mine was delicious and my wife said her dairy free, gluten free was probably the best she’s ever had.
The store was clean, the staff was friendly, joking with us and answering questions, even with a line out the door. Oh, and the portions I was skeptical about? More than enough! 5 stars all around....
