TERRIBLE UGLY CUSTOMER SERVICE! The seemingly on duty âmanager/maybe ownerâ made me feel as if they were racist and/or prejudice. My wife and I are both brown skinned Native people. About 6pm on June 29, 2025, my wife and I just finished a delicious meal nearby and we were excited to see a dessert/bakery on the same street. The second we entered the establishment we werenât met with a courteous greeting but a curt hello as if we were bothering them. I asked about one of their products and that was met with another curt response. I followed up to clarify why I asked the initial question and the âmanagerâsâ response was again very sarcastic and snarky. My wife decided to step outside because the âmanagerâ made her feel uncomfortable. The âmanagerâsâ response to laugh at her decision to do so. I asked what was funny, to which the âmanagerâ replied, âI donât know why she left.â. I said itâs probably because your needlessly rude responses. I left without the items we initially ordered saying that I hope they have a good day. At no point was I rude or speaking with anything less than a pleasant tone.
Response to owner
I was never âloudâ and did not interrupt you at all. You interrupted me when you rudely cut me off to repeat the same thing louder and more aggressive yourself. I was calm and quiet even when I asked why you laughed at my wife. The simple fact you admit zero fault or err in your horrendous attitude and âcustomer serviceâ speaks a lot to you and your management. I apologize for making either of you uncomfortable at any point. Had you not laughed at my wife I wouldnât have had to ask why you did that and if by âweird energyâ you mean normal, polite, excited questions about your product I accept that. I hope you get better and wish you continued success.
9 new 5 star reviews within 24 hours of you receiving your first two 1 star reviews when your business didnât have a single review for a month before ours? Curious. Review fishing from friends sure makes me question all previous review ratings. Your painting of our interaction is laughable and makes me wish there were other customers in the store to attest to your terrible âcustomer serviceâ. Nothing should be âweirdâ about asking clear simple questions about your product. I asked what was funny after you laughed at my wife. Pretty normal thing to ask about to a very rude behavior. At no point did I raise my voice or âexclaimâ anything as you dramatically added with the punctuation you chose to use for the misquotes you chose to post. We are always friendly and courteous when in any business and as I said before we were excited to try new baked goods to us. You met us with rudeness, attitude, and blatant sarcasm. I hope you learn from this experience and plan to practice normal appropriate common courtesy as a business owner who should aim to please potential future customers. Also, good to know it was just awful service rather than racism. Unsold on prejudice still. But hopefully you are just more considerate of ALL your potential future customers. You made both me and my wife uncomfortable and uneasy even after we left. I hope you genuinely understand how your actions affect others and employ better practices...
Read moreI love baked desserts. When I find a new bakery I can't resist trying lots of things. There are often one or two standouts and a few things that aren't to my taste. But that didn't happen today. I bought five things, and every single one was excellent! I couldn't physically eat all of every item in one sitting, but I r-e-a-l-l-y wanted to. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had - a perfect balance of cream, ladyfingers, and espresso/chocolate. If I had to pick a favorite item it'd be this because it's so hard to find a good tiramisu. The lemon blueberry bar surprised me because it looked like it might be too soft vs my preference, but it was excellent - true lemon flavor and not overpoweringly lemon or overly sweet, just right. I had my first ube cupcake today and it won't be my last - unusual flavor (the ube is a purple yam) but really good. I liked the slightly denser than typical cupcake texture also. My son got some ube crinkle cookies and said they're fantastic - great crunch layer on the outside and chewy on the inside with great flavor. Rounding out the awesomeness were a lemon raspberry cupcake and a chocolate berry pie bar.
We started by having lunch at YunGaNe; then we picked up dessert next door at Sweet Things. I have a feeling this will become a regular routine..... Highly...
Read moreThey forgot to bake my cake. She said it's because her computer didn't print the invoice due to the date on the order. However, we had two separate telephone conversations in which she assured me my cake would be ready. It was not. My celebration was ruined. When I told her I felt it ruined, she became quite defensive and then begun blaming me. Her website is not a good website. She herself admitted to that. They threw together a chocolate cake for me. I loathe chocolate cake, but needed something to feed my guests. She blamed me for not getting a spice cake, which none of my guests enjoy, or red velvet, which nobody in attendance enjoys. I ordered vanilla cake. My favorite, and everyone in attendance enjoys. She then said the Uda cake is "Like" vanilla. We had not tried that flavor, so I went with a flavor my guests do like. So, if there's a problem with your order, I suspect she will toss the blame onto you as well. There are too many bakeries with better service to waste your time here. I highly recommend you go to another bakery. Side note, my guests said costco made a better...
