I went for lunch today and although I usually only eat one plate I did the buffet so that i could sit and enjoy my meal. When I first got there I was the only one in the restaurant and you could tell by the food as it had a skin on it which is normal.
The manager was a younger gentleman and he was very attentive but also was cleaning booth benches etc. while still keeping a close eye on my needs. Offering to get me any sauces and then asked if I wanted chi tea on him. I thought that was the nicest thing and what a way to make a customer feel appreciated.
When I was almost done with my plate a elderly man came in and the manager (I believe he said his name was Cody) took the time to walk him to the buffet counter and explain to him what the different things were, ask him if he had food allergies, and then asked him if he wanted anything to drink. The elderly man said just coffee please. Later as the man was eating he said I never got my water (even though he did not ask for water) and Cody said with a smile oh I'm sorry let me get that right away for you and he did.
When I asked if I could pay for the elderly mans lunch I was given a discount instead of paying full price for 2 meals as neither of us would have eaten more than one plate.
I most definitely will be returning in the near future and will be sure to tell everyone about the great customer service and just as good food. Thank you for making me feel...
Read moreI will never eat there should I happen to dine out. Bellingham is a nice place to live, but racism and prejudice is very aggressive, just like anywhere else, though. I happen to be a so-called African American. I went to pick up an order recently, and I was first in line. The female waitress walked over and I informed her of the order, so I waited.
A couple walks in and the female just walks past me very bluntly like I am some kind of nobody with an "I have privileges and you are nothing attitude". The husband pulls her back, pretending to be nice it seemed, then a male waiter walks over and tells the couple to feel free to pick a table.
I do not know if he knew I was there to pick up an order or not, but he did not even acknowledge me either. He told the couple to pick a table like they had privileges to cut in line, at least that is how I perceived it.
The male seemed like whatever afterwards, and him and the female he was with went on in life like it was all good, picked a table and sat down.
If it be the case, what kind of mess is that exactly? Are they not in business to make money? This country was made off of bloodshed and slavery. So-called non-African American people should have a more grateful attitude for what they have in this life compared to others. If you want to be more grateful, you can always ship us back to Africa. I do not think any of us would mind either....
Read moreThis was my first experience with Indian food. I didn't really know what to expect because menu never said what the spices were and I cant handle spicy, the menu had so many things on it that it was a little overwhelming. Thankfully the servers understood and allowed us more time to think. When ordering, the servers asked us what we wanted on a scale of 1-5 - five being the hottest. They also give you sauces to use when you order and I personally loved their mint one. It helped me to better handle their spices and it tasted amazing with their foods. I wouldn't recommend drinking soft drinks with their foods because there is a big distinction between th flavours. I would also recommend eating the Garlic naan if you are similar to me in spices, it will help regulate the temperature when you eat. Their dessert tasted similar to a doughnut freshly made and it was really sweet. The building itself was dark themed but had good design. Above each table was a candle shaped light and being near a window meant that you didn't really even need the light. They have a small waiting room in the entrance for when the get busy but it happens to also be where people pay for their food so I do warn that it could get crowded. They also have restrooms but I didn't take a look. Overall, I would definitely come back to...
