The Other Place Belton — Restaurant in Belton

This place just opened up in Belton. I had seen them build this place from the ground up since last year so I decided to give it a try with a friend of mine. The friend who I went with had eaten at the Overland Park location and he said that it was solid so we decided to give it a try. The place was clean and the waiters and waitresses were nice and welcoming! It was noisy, however this is a sports bar and grill so for me this was expected. Our objective was to go and grab a couple of brews. They did have a good draft selection there, however I would have wished they had more of an option on tap rather than just the usual selection of Bud and Coors light. I did not have any food there but from the looks of everyone else's plates the food looked really good and everyone seemed satisfied. My friend ordered the fried mushrooms and he said that they were a solid choice. The music they were playing in the background was great! There were even some customers and some of the staff that were feeling the music which added to the atmosphere of the restaurant. Once more the bartenders were attentive and there was fantastic service. I appreciate this place, and they have earned my patronage once more to come and eat. They seem to have a great selection of food and appetizers and their beer selection although limited has some variety to it. Overall I was pretty pleased...

Was excited to try a new spot in town. First time we came they closed early for a employee party and didn't show on website. So we couldn't eat. Not happy but came back 2 wks later to try again. Wait was long. Server didn't listen and seemed untrained. Food was unfortunately dry. Not the best experience. Then we get the check. We ordered 2 well drinks on their Monday special. Ordered 2 well bloody Mary's. Should have been $3.50 each. Server comes out with digital tablet and tells us our total. Mind you, no paper receipt to look at and confirm accuracy. Not even a screen view. I questioned her asking to make sure the Monday well drinks rang correctly. She said (rudely) they aren't wells. I stated, 'I've been a bartender for 20 plus years and they are unless a vodka is specificied '. She said let me talk to the manager. She came back irritated and said manager is on their way. Manager showed up and she said they aren't wells. I said I'm sorry for the confusion but I've been a bartender for 20+ years and they have always been a well drink. Just like vodka tonic, screwdriver, gin and tonic, rum and coke, etc. She then states, 'Well maybe you should have asked'. Very rude. I wasn't the only one with issues. 2 other tables had check issues while we waited. We will not be back. Save your money and go...

Was excited to hit up a new spot in town, decided to stop through here and give it a shot. The wait was quite long. Our server asked us after taking our order if we wanted our salads before or with our meal. We said before. Time goes by once again and our meal comes out to our table. No salads were brought out with our meal. We state to the server that we are missing our salads. We waited a whole 10 minutes at least before they brought out the salads that were supposed to be brought out “before our meal”. I understand this business has been open for a short period of time and they are still learning how to operate smoothly but it was unbelievable. Server says they will be right back to assist us but you visibly see the server pace the store multiple times and stop to talk to coworkers. To top it off as I go to pay for my ticket my server had the wrong ticket pulled up and I ended up paying for another tables meal. Would love to keep going but the old fingers are tired. DO NOT RECOMMEND. this is a pizza...
