Went during the first soft opening week as well as the second soft opening week.
The first visit- got multiple flavors of the boneless Korean fried chicken and tofu, which were all delicious, as was the tteokbokki and bulgogi. Service was terrible. For a party of eight, we only got two bottles of water, and the waters were never refilled, even when they were empty (and had been for a LONG time). After the server came and took our initial order, she never came back to check on us. We actually wanted to order more food and had to flag someone else down to come over, but that person never brought over menus as requested. Finally, we had to have yet another person come over to check us out. It was also incredibly hot - I guess their AC wasn’t working? - and none of the fans that they had were pointed at our table.
The second time- food was again, delicious, and the service was just as horrendous. This time, we were a party of four. When we were initially sat, we did not receive menus. We sat around for probably ten minutes waiting for someone to come by and bring us menus. Then, after we ordered, we did not receive our food for another 60 minutes. It is my suspicion that our food ticket was lost in the back as every other table in the restaurant received their food, ate it, and left, before we got our food. The excuse that I got was that they had a “lot of to go orders”, but this doesn’t explain why everyone else (including people who came in and sat down AFTER we had already ordered our food) was able to order, eat, and leave before we received ANY of our food.
To top it all off, there wasn’t even a manager that came by our table to talk with us. I was pretty upset with our second visit since the food took so long to come out. I think it would’ve helped to salvage my opinion if a manager...
Read moreI went on Saturday during their second soft opening! My boyfriend and I wanted to get wings to go because I had bragged about how good the wings were the last time I had them. To sum up the experience: The employees were very hospitable, the food delicious, and the atmosphere was pretty nice!
I got to witness some troublesome customers firsthand who were ill-tempered towards the waitress and impatiently made the decision to sit themselves down instead of waiting. The family ended up leaving before ordering, but I felt that the waitress handled it well.
We were then helped by a girl named Michelle and a girl named Ashlyn. I could tell that the place was a bit overwhelming, and yet we were handled with patience and friendliness that made us feel at ease in the establishment despite the circumstances.
The drinks came pretty quickly, the food took a bit longer. However, to anyone complaining about the wait for food, I would urge them to consider that the food served is not fast food, but food that is worth the time it takes to prepare. Furthermore, all employees were actively serving the customers and establishment and could not be accused of neglecting the customers or the restaurant.
I had a good experience there, and I believe that the success of the place lies in the comfort of both the employees and the customers. If I could give any feedback, I believe that the success of the place lies in not losing sight of the image they create for themselves and their community. I think it could be easy to forget the big picture, but as a customer, the big picture is huge in deciding if that is a place I feel good...
Read moreWe were excited to try this place and encouraged by the positive reviews. We were seated right away and told to ring the bell when ready to order. They had a limited menu for lunch so it didn't take long to decide. Rang the bell and ordered an appetizer, two entrees and drinks.
Twenty mins passed and three tables that were seated after us were getting food. Called the server and when she came by, she asked if we had ordered. We said we had and she asked if she was the one who had taken our order and we said she was. She said she must have lost it and would put it in.
The appetizer came after 10 minutes but still no drinks. Another 30 mins passed and most other tables were served. It was apparent that our server hadn't put a rush on our forgotten order but simply put it in line with the rest of them.
We decided to just pay for the appetizer and leave since it had been an hour by this time. She put in a cancellation for our food and charged for the appetizer, with no apology. The cancelled order must have caught the owner's attention because she came to the register to find out what happened. She offered to give us the meals at no cost and after 10 mins, we finally got it to go. Food was not as good as we had hoped after all that.
After going back through the previous reviews, forgetting to put in orders seems to be a common thing. We...
