Dari Ripple is a Belvidere institution, and for good reason. The ice cream is always delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. I love getting their dole whips, but they also have a wide variety of other flavors and options to choose from.

In addition to ice cream, Dari Ripple also serves up a variety of other treats, including sundaes, shakes, malts, floats, and even cylones with the option to add A WHOLE PIECE OF PIE into them!. They also have a small food menu with hot dogs, burgers, and fries!

I have been going to Dari Ripple for over 30 years now. My only complaint is they tend to use that fake machine Ice Cream in all their shakes and malts. I even requested REAL ice cream for my malts with extra malts and they STILL used the machine ice cream. Otherwise, I have no complaints about anything. I do, however, think customers need to be more curtious when waiting for their numbers to be called for their order. Don't stand in front of the serving window like an entitled child. Stand back like everyone else and wait for your number to be called. And, please, pay attention. I have seen people complain about their order taking forever yet I heard their number called 3 times while they were playing with their phone. Pay attention, people....

When I was a child I used to go to a chain dairy store run by some self appointed queen but back then it had the feel of Dari Ripple today. Dari Ripple is not only a great value but a friendly place to share a cone with family and friends. Other places have turned into another commercial chain but Dari Ripple reminds me of those days where my parents would give me a dollar to go pick something off the menu.
