My family and I recently visited this Taco Bell in belvidere Illinois. Now before I go any further yes I know this is fast food, yes I also know not to expect much but there’s still a standard to uphold least I thought. So upon entering the establishment we were not greeted by or acknowledged by a worker but by a sign that said please use kiosk. There were two kiosks 1 of them was “currently unavailable” the other was malfunctioning and we found it hard to use. I tried to stand at the counter and was not acknowledged by any of the workers. My wife finally was able to submit our order of 4 luxe boxes and we went to sit down. When we got to our table we noticed that the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was not good. Tables were dirty, floor was not clean, and counters were not wiped down. As we waited conversations could be heard from the kitchen of which were not very appropriate. In the twenty minutes we waited to get our food we watched three different people try to come in and order at the kiosk get frustrated then stand at the counter and then just walk out. There were four cars that went through the drive thru also. This is just sad. Once we got our food 20 minutes later none of the boxes were labeled and we spent the rest of our meal playing burrito roulette. I am highly disappointed by the fact that Taco Bell has declined to give the customer any human interaction and has turned to computers. I am also concerned about the lack of service on cleaning the lobby. Overall this location deserves a surprise visit from a district manager. Shame on...
Read moreMy husband and I recently dined at this location, expecting to relax and enjoy a good meal. Unfortunately, our visit was met with an unpleasant incident that was poorly handled by both the staff and management.
While enjoying our meal I discovered a long black hair in my entree. I quickly brought it to the attention of the staff, who simply responded with “Oh that is a hair.” The manager’s response was equally disappointing since they showed no acknowledgment or an apology. When they showed no intention of making this right, I had them notice that none of their staff were wearing proper hygiene hair protective nets.
Throughout the ordeal, neither the staff nor the manager offered an apology or showed any concern. Their lack of empathy and professionalism was shocking. I declined the replacement and asked for a refund which they only refunded a fraction of the actual meal.
I left Taco Bell feeling deeply disappointed, not only by the hair in my food but by the indifferent and unprofessional handling of the situation by the staff and management. A simple apology and a bit of empathy could have made a significant difference, but sadly, that was too much to expect.
I will not be returning to Taco Bell and would caution others about dining here. The lack of basic customer service and hygiene standards is...
Read moreI used to love coming here. I like the food. However over the last 2 years the owner of this particular restaurant has been creeping up the prices. 20% here, 20% there, the $5 box is now a $6 box. Unlike other taco bells the owner of this particular restaurant likes to charge his customers exuberant prices for extras. Sour cream is $0.50 per item. You go to another taco Bell and they only charge $0.10 or $0.20. I've been to taco bells that didn't charge anything. Because they consider a happy customer worth the few cents. And how much of this money that he's charging actually goes to the employees who deserve it. Probably none. I hate this taco Bell. I will never return to this taco Bell. Out of principle, I will take the money that I would have spent extra at his facility and drive to one further away. The owner of this particular taco Bell has infuriated me. I dealt with him long enough....
