Read moreI popped into this spot before hitting the road home and got a honey lavender latte and babka roll. I LOVE babka, and it was cute as hell and tasty. The honey lavender latte was great - I don't usually love lavender flavor but this one was nicely balanced. The baristas on shift were upbeat and seemed to be having as good a time as you can have while working.
I'm actually only leaving a review, though, because I left a backpack full of things I use almost every single day (including tablets and medications) in the shop on Greenwood and didn't realize until after I'd already made the 7 hour drive home, after shop hours. The staff here was responsive on both IG and when I called the next morning to ask if they had found it -- they had, and a barista named Olivia really helped a gal out and took the backpack to UPS and overnighted it back to me.

The man working the register seemed irritated to explain the options for buying bulk to take home as though his time was much better spent else where. Then the guy making coffee at the bar took forever pouring one latte, stopping multiple times to talk with his co-workers, and then loudly calling the drink out as my mother went to pick it up not 2 feet across the counter. He offered zero eye contact and in general, like the man at the register, seemed happy the experience was over so he could go back to whatever he wanted to be doing.
We were so happy to have this location open and have been frequent customers, but where did the employees who liked their customers go? Backporch what happened to the greetings and bright smiles?
