First off. Google doesn't allow half stars, I would prefer to give this place a 3.5. Let's start with what I wasn't a fan of. They label themselves as a "Hibachi" restaurant. While they might cook on a hibachi grill. There is no visual representation of it. There is no table to sit at and watch the chef make your food or interact with you. Normally that is the main draw of a Hibachi as a preforming art. We ordered the hot tea. The only option was green. The tea was bagged and was not stepped well. Disappointing. I would expect a better selection of teas or at least better care. For dishes we ordered the lovers sushi for 2. As well as the chicken yakisoba. The sushi I will get to later as I rather enjoyed it. But the noodles were just ok and the chicken had an unnatural bounce. As if something had been added to make it swell or absorb more water. That bounce made the texture unpleasant. Onto the good things! The lovers sushi plater while being a little expensive was worth it. The sashimi was thiccc! The quality of fish was great. Very smooth and near buttery on the Toro. The rice was good quality and well seasoned. Someone is back there with the salt, sugar, rice vinegar and mirin for sure!. All the sushi we had was great and when I go back I will order it again!. The ambiance was nice. It felt local and intimate. Very small and cute. Decor was simple and nice. Parking is small. But it's indicative of the inside seating. You don't need more parking If there aren't more seats. The staff was fantastic! Service was speedy and polite. Drinks were never empty. Food came out quickly. People were a joy to be around. If there was anything I could recommend for this place. Switch from a first come first serve place to a reservation only place. This would help with the limited seating and parking. Allowing them to focus on higher quality, and excellent service. Overall I will be back 7/10

Unfortunately had a bad experience at Kobe for my first visit today. Called in an order for 2 chicken yakisobas and one side order of fried rice. I was told on the phone the order would take 20 minutes. I arrived about 20 minutes after my call was placed and proceeded to wait an additional 40 minutes until my order was ready. I overheard the employees apologizing to other customers about certain things and saying they are having trouble keeping up in such a small location. It shows. Their business practice is currently lacking as it was apparent that other orders placed after ours in house were put before the order placed on the phone. A simple offer of spring rolls or even soups or salads to go to compensate for the hour of wait time would have gone incredibly far in this circumstance with little loss to overhead. The yakisoba was tasty however the side of fried rice was a 0/10; no flavor whatsoever, nothing aside from plain rice, it didn’t even seem fried. I would say I hope to revisit to try again and give a better review, however, after the service I received today I unfortunately don’t see us going back.

Great pricing, great portion great customer service however the food was mid. I got steak and shrimp hibachi (miso soup, 'fried rice', amd vegtables). I was not asked how I wanted my steak cooked (it came well done) and the fried rice was simply rice with maybe some soy sauce and black sesame seeds. No egg or veggies in the rice, it was disappointing and there wasn't anything outstanding or special about this dish. My partner got chicken teriyaki yakisoba. The chicken was ok, could have been cooked longer as it was pretty chewy and there where a decent amount of tendons to chew through. The noodles where good and his veggies mix (much like mine) wasn't very salted. The chunks of veggies where large and not cooked through all the way. The server was very kind and it's a cute little shop but the food was lacking, we will continue going to Okawa for hibachi.

A Hidden Gem for Authentic Sushi Lovers

If you're searching for a sushi spot that serves up authentic flavors without breaking the bank, look no further! This sushi place has quickly become my go-to destination.

From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Japan. The sushi chefs are incredibly skilled and passionate about their craft, and it truly shows in each beautifully presented dish.

The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of traditional sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri, all of which are made with the freshest ingredients. I was especially impressed by their specialty rolls; each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor! You can actually taste the quality in the fish, and the rice is perfectly seasoned.

What really stands out, though, is the pricing. In a city where dining out can sometimes feel like a luxury, this sushi spot offers the best prices around. You get exceptional quality at a price that makes it easy to indulge more often.

Whether you're a sushi novice or a seasoned connoisseur, this place has something for everyone. Don’t miss out on this fantastic eatery—whether you're dining in or takeout, you're in for a treat! I can't...
