We had already eaten, but were still a bit hungry and decided to check this place out. We split the fish burrito and it was VERY good. I hope the quality of their food keeps up - because it's one of the best fish burritos I've ever had. We'll be returning!
UPDATE: we saw a sign out front that read, “Home of the $6 breakfast burrito”. We went online and noticed that the hooch doesn’t have a website and the menus on Google didn’t yet reflect breakfast. We called to place an order. The person taking our order informed us there were two options, the regular bb and a Mexican bb. We ordered one each. When we showed up to pick up our order the total was $24. My partner didn’t say anything, but I called back to ask how we missed the $6 burrito pricing. I was told that the $6 burrito is, “not heavily advertised” (Except for the sign out front?) and that, “most people who call in for the $6 burrito ask for it specifically”. We were told there were 2 options, but apparently there is a third and we should have known to ask if the two options are $12 and is there a secret third option for $6? I noted that maybe if you aren’t going to have a website, or updated menus online, that when people call in to order it may be worth providing their order total before they get off the phone. There’s a sign on their sidewalk advertising a $6 bb, but fyi it’s not heavily advertised and their other breakfast...
Read moreWe ordered a grilled shrimp burrito and a bean and cheese with rice burrito. Both were terrible. The tortilla was not good and not cooked properly. The grilled shrimp were no where to be found and they were not grilled. Seemed to be steamed or boiled. The problem with the shrimp burrito was that they put more sour cream than shrimp which made the burrito cold and the shredded cheese inside was cold and not melted. Literally threw the burrito away less than half way through. The shrimp burrito cost $16 and was not worth it at all. Bean and cheese burrito had and off flavor and was oily. Overall - go to the new taco shop next to the Eastside Cascade Brewery - blows this place away Tried to upload photos but...
Read moreSorry, but the burritos are bad. They are watery, the peppers are undercooked, the cheese isn't even melted, the tortilla is room temperature and not grilled/toasted. The salsas are all bland and watery. All for a price that is astonishing. Every other mexican place I've been to in Bend is better than this place.
The hostess was friendly.
I've tried this place when it first opened and thought the underwhelming burrito was maybe due to them being new. I tried it again in May 2025. I don't write a ton of reviews but this place was just comically bad. Like to the point where you wonder if it's actually a money...
