The Human Bean — Restaurant in Bend

Probably the worst experience I’ve had at a coffee shop in awhile. The women working didn’t seem to be in a good mood, were not friendly and basically just hands us our order then shuts the window. My boyfriend ordered a blended drink with whip, he didn’t get whip. I ordered an energy drink with coconut milk, when I received the drink, I tried sending it back because it didn’t seem like they put coconut milk in it, then she said “it’s on the top” I look, and it is…. But why not stir it in? I had to then pull over, take the top off my drink and mix it myself. To top it off, I got the bacon breakfast sandwich, it was very small and did not taste good. I was skeptical of paying $7 for a breakfast sandwich the same size as a Starbucks one until I actually TRIED it. I DONT KNOW what they put in their egg sausage biscuit sandwich but it was CRACK! Far superior than competitors for a 1-2 dollar increase… I’ll take it!

The cheese was splendid, the flavor was amazing, the BISCUIT - buttery, flaky, and what I believe to be the embodiment of southern cuisine.

Don’t get me started on their espresso. It is WONDERFUL. This place is my new go to and is the perfect medium between the cost of Sparrow Bakery and the low quality at Starbucks.

I go there every week. The staff is wonderful; the drinks are prompt; the pay quite easy through the app. There is literally nothing bad to say about this place.

Also, their mexi-mocha is superb, and I have had several mochas from places around town. Human Bean is just the better choice for coffee drinks, and their muffin tops are great, too. They offer some breakfast options like oatmeal cups and bagel sandwiches, so if you're looking for a place that does both, this is it.
