"I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care provided by East Bend Animal Hospital during a challenging time for my older baby dog. She recently underwent a major dental procedure, having 18 teeth pulled, and I am beyond impressed with the level of care and expertise displayed by the team.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and compassion. The staff members were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and attentive, which immediately put both my dog and me at ease. Special shout out to-Dr. Thurk, Wendy, Nakia, and Jordan for the extra special love. Although, I know you all went above and beyond to ensure my dog's comfort and well-being throughout the entire process!
The communication was outstanding; Dr. Thurk took time to thoroughly explain the procedure, potential risks, and post-operative care instructions in a way that was easy to understand. It was evident that my dog's health and safety were their top priorities.
Following the surgery, my dog received exceptional post-operative care, and I was provided with detailed guidance on how to care for her at home. Ms. Bijou, is doing wonderful at home and I have no doubt she will be back to her playful self very soon.
I am immensely grateful for the outstanding care, compassion, and professionalism demonstrated by East Bend Animal Hospital and ALL it's staff.I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking exceptional veterinary care for their furry family members. Thank you for everything!"
Eternally GR8FUL!!!!!!! Mitzi...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe love this vet. Always gives the best advice and they are not just about money. After just 1 day of getting our brand new pup, he had cherry eye in one eye and the other one looked like it was going to pop out into a full blown cherry eye as well. You can imagine our hearts were crushed for our new pup. Dr. Thomas was AMAZING. As soon as he saw Walter he was very reassuring in what Walter our pup was feeling at the moment with those cherry eyes. He said he was actually very intrigued with eye surgeries and had done many of these procedures. That relived us because of people love what they do, you know theyāll do a great job. He advised for Walter that we wait till the 2nd eye blooms into a full cherry eye while heās on meds. This helps with two things: 1) He does not have to go under anesthesia multiple times (the less the better for a pup) (2) cheaper for us to not do multiple surgeries. We set a surgery date and Dr. Thomas said if his other eye turn into a cherry eye, we can call him the day before and heāll still be prepared to do both! Sure enough, the exact day before surgery, his other eye developed into a cherry eye! We called the vet to let them know, and Dr. Thomas did both wonderfully. The staff also comforted Walter by holding him and playing with him so he would calm down before surgery instead of being in a metal crate. Walters eyes healed beautifully. This was all back in December and now you couldnāt even tell he had any problems with his eyes! Thank you Dr....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEast Bend withheld patient documentation and stated to the other vet they never took any X-rays even though I held them in my own hand. I brought my cat in because there was blood in his stool, they ran tests and said he was fine. A month later he stopped eating, they did more blood work, X-ray, etc. said everything came back normal. Took my cat to a different vet for a second opinion and East Bend refused to transfer his X-ray and blood work stating they never even took X-rays. I had to confirm with the new vet that I saw the X-rays personally, and the new vet reran the blood work because they also werenāt sending that information over. (Days later, after my cat passed, they finally did submit the paperwork over). The new vet saw the bloodwork and immediately knew it was a stomach cancer and he had days to live. I am horrified and never recommending this vet because they refused to send over patient documentation and also wasnāt able to clearly see my cat had cancer even thought the new vet noticed immediately. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened to myself and my family with East Bend. They also refused to share my sisters dogs information when she transferred elsewhere. They also misdiagnosed my cat stating he had a growth the technician had ānever seen beforeā, which sent me into a panic, only for it to be ānormal anatomyā. They were always friendly, but this was unforgivable to refuse to send over documentation when I was getting a second...
