This is the last Schlotzsky's that I know of in Oregon. It is paired with a Cinnabon that I rarely eat at, the rating is purely for Schlotzsky's.
There are only a handful of items that I order from the menu, a smatering of sandwiches which have all been pretty good and, really only one pizza, the BBQ Chicken and Jalapeno pizza.
The sandwiches can't steer you wrong and the bread is nothing like other restaurants, it is very airy, has a rich smell, and a unique taste.
The pizza crust can only be described in the same way and the toppings are everyday ingredients: bbq sauce, cheese, onions, and jalapenos; but together this makes one of my favorite pizzas that I can't get anywhere else. When I end up in Bend I always make it a point to stop by here just to get this pizza, it's that good. It's the right amount of spicy and sweet and tangy with good cheese to keep it all together and a great crust that I actually eat.
The restaurant is normally fairly clean and the service is good if not a bit slow. Their drive thru is much faster than I thought, although no where near as fast as actual fast food joints.
No doubt there are a lot of great restaurants in Bend and many of them are locally owned, but this is one guilty pleasure I can't shake.

Read moreWe are 1st timers here. You walk in and it gives the feel of 8 year olds end of year soccer party. We are sorta greeted by a young gal w/reddish brown hair. She is not inviting and maybe normally works in the kitchen. Inside dining has been open in Bend for over a week, but when our food shows up its all in bags and 1st made its way to another table before being rerouted to ours (by the way they weren't busy there was only that other table and us đŹ). The gal that took our order is the one that brought it out and she didn't make eye contact as she dropped it and kept going (rude rude rude). The only reason why I gave the place 3 stars is because the food is good enough. But I would not have her as the face of my business or dealing with customers. A middle-aged Hispanic man noted my grievance and was kind. My overall experience a tad less than average, would not...
Read moreI think this was the first time we had ever eaten at Schlotzsky's that I can recall and it was good. The food was delicious. I had a chicken cobb salad and it was much larger than I expected. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. They didn't skimp on any of the toppings. My husband had the small deluxe original and he enjoyed it and it was just enough for a 'light' lunch.
We didn't have combos or add anything else to our order. Just water and sadly they gave us a Styrofoam cup which saddens me that I didn't have my water bottle to refill.
The staff was nice but didn't have much friendly personality, no smiles or welcomes. She didn't really say much at all actually.
Establishment was clean with...
