My mother’s surprise party was held here on Friday December 8th. From the start I dealt with a woman named Michelle who was great. First thing I asked was the color of the linens since the decorations were silver. I was told black table lines which was perfect. I was also told 10 tables of 10 and that I could arrive at 5:30 to set up since the party was at 7:30. 2 weeks before the party my dad said a new girl named Giana was now the event manager and provided her number. I contacted her to confirm everything and could not get in touch with her. The woman on the phone, whose name I did not get unfortunately told me that 530 would not work that I could not come until 6 o’clock. OK no worries I arrive at 6 o’clock promptly only to find white table linens and red and green napkins on the table. It looks like Christmas threw up in there Panic mood sunk in and I stopped the servers from folding the rest of the napkins and told them what I was supposed to get. They searched the venue and found black table linens and removed the Red and green napkins and everything was fine. Instead of 10 tables of 10 there were 13 tables of 8 so now I was 3 tables short of. Centerpieces that I brought as decor. The bartenders pulled me aside and asked me if I knew what kind of liquor package my dad had gotten. I informed them that it was top shelf open bar , they both looked at each other with a confused look and said no that’s not what they were told. Long story short party begins I’m introduced to Giana a 22-year-old girl who is extremely unprofessional, she hid in her office the entire time to the point where my father had to knock on her door to speak to her about the contract. we have family that works there and we’re told we got a 20% family discount which we did not, my mother who is the guest of honor is a vegetarian and so one of the food items my dad requested was salmon. However my mother sat there and ate salad and potatoes because Giana said salmon was not in the contract , it was not until much later when a crispy burnt crabcake and fried shrimp was brought out that she said apparently there was two contracts and decided to go over to my mother while she was eating her fried crabcake and show her the contract now mind you this was a surprise party for her from my father, my mother did not need to see the cost of this party. when the party ended Giana was nowhere to be seen. No money was returned. No accommodations were made. I am not the type of person that writes reviews but the fact that this happened to my 62-year-old mother...
Read moreIn 2018, my parents held an engagement party for my sister. When it came time for their next child’s engagement in 2023, they immediately thought of the country club!
We scheduled my other sibling’s engagement party for 2/11. About a couple weeks before, we came by to tune out the fine details before the event. Everyone was so personable and patient, and we had a genuinely pleasant time mapping things out and getting some added helpful insight! So much is available for use, and every idea was met with enthusiasm and improved upon. We left that meeting feeling very secure and excited! I have never been involved in party planning to this extent before, and it was easy to follow and understand.
We were able to come quite early to decorate! There was some confusion with the set-up upon arrival, but this was quickly rectified upon alerting the staff. They were all extremely kind and helpful, and as one of the main hosts, I sincerely enjoyed working together and interacting. I especially appreciated Diane!!! Her attentiveness, quick-thinking, and awesome personality inspired me to leave this review! Diane was a machine: getting all the things done, coming up with last minute improvement suggestions, and checking in with my family and me. Everything alone was good and satisfactory, but Diane honestly raised the bar and truly made it a wonderful experience. I can’t thank you enough :)
Absolutely recommend!! I don’t have many pictures of the space but I do have some references for how we were able...
Read moreOn 12/6/18, I called the Bensalem Country Club to ASK if they sold vouchers or gift certificates for a round of golf.
After first choosing an extension number that was dead, I hung up and tried the driving range's extension. Figured if they didn't know, they could point me to the right person. The phone rang for three minutes -- no answer.
I hung up and tried for a third time, this time choosing the Banquet extension. If anyone knows about selling future services, it's the banquet people, right? A woman's voice appeared on the other end, and barked, "Office." I was a little thrown off, but hey it's in Northeast Philadelphia. I introduced myself, saying "hey my name is Keith, I was wondering if you guys sold gift certificates or had vouchers for a round of golf?"
The woman on the other end did not even hesitate to slam the phone down on the receiver. Not a single word did she say back to me. I don't golf. I've never been to the Bensalem Township Country Club. I don't know if that's a stupid question. I don't know if that's offensive to the establishment. A curt "no we do not" would have sufficed. 0/5 if I could. Instead I'll just have to tell the dozen or so associates of mine who avidly golf in the Philadelphia area to ignore this...
