Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Bensalem Township

So my family and I frequented this establishment in particular several times.. It was a good place to go just to grab some good chips and salsa and a quick meal. We loved the honey Chipotle crisper meal it was our go to. One day we went in and ordered our regular. To our dismay, they had changed the chicken they used. It was more like a tender. It wasn't crispy and it was super floppy. The whole idea of a crisper was for it to be crispy NO?!. Anyway I told myself I will NOT be going back as it was really the only thing we liked and it just wasn't good with the new change. Our waitress advised that several people had said the same thing and wasn't sure why it was changed as it was a good seller as it was. Months passed and we had not been. We decided against our better judgment to go again and try them out. Maybe they switched them back, maybe enough people complained. It was wishful thinking. Well to our surprise we went and the meal was great the food was the same as we had remembered. The taste, texture, and seasoning was perfect. We were super happy we came back. The waitress was super accommodating. We we able to come to our old place again. We'll we decided to go again this weekend. Which brings us to this review. We ordered everything like we had last time. The chips were good but in little pieces as if they were crumbled up. We didn't complain we made do figured we will just ask for more. However we never got that far. Our food comes out, and it's the same ones that we don't like. What is the issue? How can food be so different from one week to the next? Literally NO consistency. Even your fries are usually served in this little metal basket thing. NO, not this time it was like 6 fries just layed on the plate. Since when? I'm so confused. I told the waitress the issue that we didn't want it to please take it off the bill. The manager came over and I explained the same to him. Tuesday evening I decided to come to this location for a quick bite. I was impressed with the friendliness from the time I walked in the door. There were very few people, so we were seated right away. I enjoyed this mellow atmosphere. I didnt typically enjoy being seated at a table with food on the seat, but the hostess fixed this right away. Nicole was our waitress and by far the best waitress I have ever had. Definitely a long lasting impression that will bring me back. Nicole and the hostess encouraged me to sign up to their rewards program and I was able to receive a complimentary appetizer! Our food came out within ten to fifteen minutes flat. The food was great and the margaritas were strong. Overall this place was great. If I had any complaints it would only be from the food on the seat and the table tablet. The tablet died as I was paying. This concerned me a bit because I was a little nervous of being over charged since my transaction was already processing as it died. But rest assured, Nicole brought another tablet and I was able to complete the transaction. Definitely will be coming here again. I felt welcomed immediately, and actually had a better night after leaving. I give this place a 9 out of 10. Perfect location as it’s near the casino and it sits in a plaza with nice stores. Horrible service and experience. I arrived there and no one is at door so I wait about 5minutes. Them I see a young lady who looks me in the face and go in the kitchen. I wait 5 more minutes and began saying..hellooooo anybody working here??? The same young lady comes up says..HOW MANY??? I replied 2..she notice other black ppl behind me and say 2?????? I say Yes 2( my husband was in the restroom) and hello how are you today?? She never answers me. She seats me and leaves. I watch this boy clean tables..fix register tapes...RUN TO THE DOOR AS SOON AS A WHITE COUPLE ENTER...GREET THEM...SAYING HELLO....HOW MANY??? And seat them in 3 minutes. He them ask me if anyone has helped me?? I say no. He continues to clean tables with dirty rag and then comes to take my order. I asked...WHY DID YOU HAVE ME SITTING HERE FOR 10 MINUTES WHILE YOU CLEAN THE TABLES??? He's like huh???? You heard me. Why did you ask me if anyone helped me IF YOU WERE THE PERSON TO WAIT ON ME??? Since when do you clean empty tables and only have 6 customers in the resturtant while paying customers wait?. I'm calling CORPORATE IN THE A.M AND TOOK PICS OF THE IGNORANT PERSON.
