Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Benton Charter Township

I have been going to Chick-fil-A's around this country for my entire life and today I think I just found the first RUDE Chik-Fil-A employee that's EVER existed 🤣😅

But seriously. This is my FIRST negative interaction with a Chik-Fil-A employee that I've ever had in my life. Or at least that I can honestly recall. In my personal experience, every Chik-Fil-A employee that I've ever encountered has been the closest thing to one of God's angels.

But I had a pickup order. The employee set it on the counter. I said thank you, and went to pick it up and she proceeded to BERATE and SCOLD me for not first confirming the order on my phone.

It was as if I was a kindergarten orphan in her corporal punishment school for misguided boys. She was IRATE.

I had no problem confirming the order. I've picked up from this place a few times and sometimes they ask, sometimes they don't. Doesn't make any difference to me either way.

But she was furious and went OFF on me. The first Hilarious thing about this situation was that the lobby was packed with customers and when she snapped on me it was like an 80's movie where the record scratches and the entire party goes silent and just stares at you😅🤣 It was crazy awkward lol. I felt like everyone in there felt bad for me🤣🤣

But the SECOND and most Hilarious thing that happened was, IMMEDIATELY after she finishes tongue LASHING me and everyone in the store has gone SILENT... I'm talking about you could've heard a mouse pee on cotton silent LOL. But RIGHT after she finishes with me, she does a COMPLETE psychological/personality 180 and turns to another customer in line with a huge smile and says "Hey, how are you?" 🤣😅😂😆

THAT part honestly scared me to death but in hindsight it was...

I'm awakening to the fact that Chic-fil-A has an expertise in deliciously preparing chicken!😀

The waffle fries are classic, and as I sat outside on a breezy and sunny, early autumn day in Benton Harbor...

I knew exactly what I wanted when I went to Benton Harbor, MI Chic-fil-A:

Spicy Pretzel Cheddar Club HOLD the bacon SWAP the cheddar for American Cheese.

FOOD-SPECIFIC REVIEW

The spicy pretzel club (with mods) was so delicious and I was really hungry so I completely forgot to snap a photo, but the lettuce was green and fluffy and perfect. Tomatoes were ripe. The creamy dijon mustard sauce I liked as swell. Chic-fil-A's chicken exterior is so crispy and interior so juicy. I liked and could taste the slight spiciness. The pretzel bun was so tasty. It's doughier than a brioche, but perfect for this sandwich because it has that slightly extra pretzel saltiness!

SERVICE REVIEW

Stefanie was in training with her first day on the job. The woman training her took over and was very helpful and instantly and precisely entered the specific order.

The exact, nuanced, specific order was produced hot, fresh and ready in just a few minutes! I should have timed it! It was impressively fast and so spot-on delicious!

CONCLUSION

Thanks for a Delicious chicken sandwich, Benton Harbor Chic-fil-A. With fast service, clean restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating and truly delicious food - you deliver quality!😀

For a change, I will revisit the interior dining...

Edit 9/29: I've been to this Chick-fil-A many times since I originally posted this review, and I have noticed none of the issues I mentioned in my original review. Also, all of the employees I have interacted with lately have been super friendly and helpful, and the place maintains a really positive atmosphere. On top of this, I have received some free rewards on the Chick-fil-A app from the operator of this location, so thank you for those!

Original Review 4 months prior (4 stars): I’ve been here many times and it lives up to the expectations of chick-fil-a — mostly. I took off a star because one time when I dined in one of the employees accidentally got almost our entire order wrong (most entrees were punched in incorrectly), and I watched the same thing happen to at least three other tables while I was there. Other than that one time out of eating here around 10 times, it’s been pretty good. The drive through is a little slow at times and once another employee was having trouble punching in my name for the order (the receipt read Aelx instead of Xavier), but all the food was correct. I’ve ordered via dine in, drive through, drive through via mobile app, and pickup via mobile app. I also took of one star on atmosphere because once when I went in to pick up my order it smelled like...
