I love this store. They are always stocking fresh stuff Daily. They have such a variiety of cereals and potato chips. Their Vegetables are Amazing and so Fresh. They have everything you need there. They have A huge variety of canned goods. Snacks. Cakes and cookies and Fresh breads to choose from. You also bring your own bag to carry grocerys in when you check out. The staffs Very Friendly and Very helpful. The cashiers are Fast as well. So you never stand in line for very long. If so its due to the customer taking their time digging their money out or Credit card. If you need a Basket have a quarter handy because the baskets are locked together so they dont get lost. But No worrys!! When you are done shopping just take your cart back to the cart section and lock it back together with the others and You Get your Quarter back from it. Also Sometimes a customer whos leaving will Hand off their cart to you and this way you dont have to use a Quarter to get one. So if someone hands off their cart to you Fo the same and Pass it onto The...
Read moreAldi Benton Harbor is clean and a quick place to get all my basic groceries at very reasonable prices. The cashiers are super fast and the store even has specialty items such as cheese and imported meats from time to time. I save a ton of money on staples such as eggs, milk, bread, canned goods, dry goods and baking items. It is no frills and no name brands, but the quality of the food has so far been fine. I don't usually buy their fresh meat, but that is my personal preference, and find that I have more in the grocery budget to buy fresh meat from a butcher as all my basic items are so cheap here. You need a quarter to use a cart and must bag your own groceries, so I always have a bunch of reusable shopping bags when I shop here as you have to pay for bags or find boxes from the store to carry your...
Read moreYou must shop at Aldi as one storms the beaches at Normandy: you have your path of travel pre-planned, you go in, you get your stuff as quickly and efficiently as possible, and you GET OUT! I love Aldis, I love that they accept credit card now, and I love that the staff checks you out like they can't get you out of there fast enough (vs the other grocery stores where the cashiers act like you're inconveniencing them.....) The staff is always keeping a close eye on the checkout situation and frequently open and close lanes to take care of log-jams. My only negative experiences at Aldis revolve around falling in love with products they only have seasonally, and with looky-loos who clog the smaller-than-typical-grocery-store-aisles and do not follow the accepted Normandy storming shopping style...
